XJTLU - Suzhou workshop images

We are extremely happy to finally share publicly the images our students at XJTLU (Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University) did during their workshop with FlyingArchitecture in Suzhou, China.

During 5 intense days, we managed to walk our students through almost all aspects of visualization - From basics of Rhino scene management, importing assets, scattering for realistic effect, through V-Ray options settings, materials creation and finally leading to postproduction. Students managed to finish 2 images - first one with our step-by-step guidance and on-canvas explanation, second one as a result of their 4 days journey. Each of them did an amazingly great job, we are so superproud of them all!

We didn't make it easy for them - those 5 days were overloaded with tons of useful content, so in the end they got a bag full of scene assets, skills and knowledge.

I would like to send infinite thanks to Davide Lombardi, who invited us to XJTLU and guided us for the whole time - otherwise I doubt we would even make it from the hotel to the Uni! This was one unforgettable experience.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, with all the glory they deserve, we would like to present thee images our students did during the workshop: (in alphabetical order)

We are very proud of our students - mainly because some of them did this for their first time - and they did a great job! We also would like to endlessly thank to whole XJTLU management, especially to Gisela, for being the best person we could imagine to meet.

Terrain sculpting tools in UE4 provide a very smooth experience and with addition of alpha brushes you can get pretty realistic detail. However sculpting large-scale believable terrains is a time consuming process and you need a keen eye for how the terrain is formed in the real world.
