A delicious treat of a book, full of depth, secrets, what-could-have-beens and what-it-is-now. I couldn’t put it down. Denton stole my heart because he’s kind of a rogue. Oh, and he’s smoking hot. Mati’s tough, smart, and full of lessons learned and heartache and a life well-lived and well-loved. There’s something about the weight of the lives of these characters that makes them real. Beautiful. Thoughtful. Tremendous. Second Chance poses so many questions, and then takes you on the journey for answers.

I felt all the sorrow and the joy. The regret and the hope. It’s lovely and elegant. Rough and tender. A must read.

My Rating:

4.5

Favorite Quotes:

My now best friend Cora tells me I need to get back out there. I don’t know where there is—or where I’d go.

I’m not certain how to categorize what just happen. It was the best non-sex-sex I’ve ever had.

My Review:

I have adored this series and author but I struggled more than a bit with this installment as it was a full-on angst-fest with near constant conflict, neither of which will ever be among my favorite tropes. I seek an emotional balance in my world but find I am willing to put aside my discomfort for exceptional wordsmiths such as the skilled raconteur known as L.B. Dunbar. The two main characters were each struggling with old regrets as well as recent losses and ongoing grief, as such, the tone was understandably heavy and other than occasional lashings of levity and bone-melting sensual scenes, it remained a chest squeezing read with thirty years worth of secrets and memories, wistful longings, resentments, disappointments, heartbreak, domestic and child abuse, family drama, and the emotional seesaw of their current indecisiveness and ambiance. Welcome respites from the ratcheting tension were found in the comedic flair of the family drama and observant insights of southern small-town living and pettiness, sassy and clever banter, and the breakneck speed of gossip.

A standing ovation for LB to continuously break the romantic couple preset mold and write meaningful, real love stories about people over 40. It's a courageous achievement which in itself deserves acknowledgement and accolades.
Fantastic job LB and keep going, we need more authentic stories like this, with real day problems in real situations. It's so refreshing to see mature characters behaving in a sensible way.
If this story had a relationship status, it'd be - IT'S COMPLICATED!!!

description

“Seems complicated has come a-knocking, Mati. Time to jump at the net,”
This entire series has been fantastic but This One is outstanding amongst it all.
It's a Double second chance romance, in the sense that its a second chance for BOTH Mati Harrington-Rathstone as much as it is for Denton Chance. The trio of Chris, Mati's husband, Denton & Mati were thick as thieves since childhood. They grew up together, experienced teenage pangs together and fell in love together.

description

Fate separates their ways abruptly and as it happens when hearts aren't cleanly cut apart, but pulled away. strings get stretched, jagged edges take shape and lingering hostilities occupy empty space. Chris marries Mati and they live happily ever after and Denton.....well he becomes a rockstar and a photog model.
Three souls separated, strive to live but emptiness comes claiming them back
God, I’m tired, I think as I consider the journey my life has taken. Rockstar. Photographer. Model. It isn’t that I don’t have a good life, but I’m tired all the same.
The Prodigal Son returns home.

description

I’ll be barreling backward in time—a ride in reverse—and I’m curious how much of the past remains.
Things have changed a lot, people have moved on, houses have become dilapidated, land has been overrun by weeds and friends are struggling to survive. But as is in small towns, gossip is still alive and flourishing.
He followed his heart from the start, but my journey has been twists and turns on a different path leading to this point. The road well-traveled.

description

It's a beautiful story, THE BEST of the entire series in my opinion. The yearning and pining adds to the thrill of pulsating passions. Denton is at the center of the maelstrom that hits Blue Ridge in Georgia. And he brings his buddies back too who we met in earlier books.

description

I loved the sensitivity of the sentiments, the authority of Mati's character. She's no shrinking violet and carries herself beautifully, putting her sons in place and the entire town for that matter. The ending just blew me away. It's a subtle power shift and the understated turn of events strengthen the placing of women in the story. LB has made the heroine strong TILL THE VERY END and for that alone this book deserves an extra mark.
“My whole life, I’ve given up things. My volleyball scholarship,My college education when I got pregnant. Then my body to my boys. Motherhood. Working for the pub. I’m not begrudging any of those decisions or circumstances. I wouldn’t trade most of them, but it’s also my time.”

description

Strong characters, precise storyline, right amount of intrigue, passion and sensuality. One thing I want to mention, after a long time I've read some great kissing scenes. Generally it's sex taht the focus of romance but LB uses kisses to convey sentiments at different points of the story. I loved it.
I’m-afraid-I’ll-never-feel-again-how-I-feel-with-you
Great enjoyable read

Oh yes I will go for a road trip with Denton. He is such a sexy beast. Silver fox sexy. I bet he is is aging better with age. Now this book takes me by surprise. I love how the author sometimes give her audience something new.

This is a second change romance for seasoned characters. Amd their love story is not easy. Nor smooth. Somethimes they acting like teenager, sometimes they acting like adult.

I do love the chemistry, the banters and the push and pull. Miss Dunbar done a great job giving such a fun and alive vibes for her characters. Who knew falling in love over 40 can be such fun.

Wasn’t my fave of these books. But I still enjoyed it. And I’m looking forward to more from the author in her romance for the over 40 books to come.

I love reading YA, NA, Adult of all different genres. Including books centred around characters in their 40’s. I mean these books from Dunbar are hot, emotionally jam-packed/charged and filled with real life issues.

Really great/good reading.

Three childhood friends Denton, Chris and Mati grew up together and became fast friends with both boys eventually fell in love with Mati, truth be told she loved them both right back. One boy was a bit restless to see the world and the other had everything mapped out for his future. This lead to them becoming divided over the love between them while they were on their way across the bridge of adolescence.

Only of them got the girl and had the future with her that the other one always wanted, albeit a slightly different path than he would have taken. Twenty seven years later and Mati is now a widow, after tragically losing her husband 12 months prior. Whilst she is clearing out his old office desk she comes across a letter he wrote to her and one for their childhood best friend Denton.

It seems that, from the grave, Chris is trying to push Mati & Denton back into each other’s lives. Denton has never stopped loving the girl who stole his heart but revisiting the past doesn’t seem like a good idea to him. Denton has other things that have brought him home that he needs to deal with but spending a bit of time with Mati brings back all those memories he thought he had forgotten. It’s funny how a smell, sound or place brings things right back to the here and now.

‘I always wanted to kiss you in that hallway. Make my own memories, of it being me to steal kisses, but I didn’t just want to take a kiss or two. I wanted to steal your breath away.’ - Denton

Mati is just as beautiful as he remembered and he feels like he is a fifteen year old boy again when he is in her presence. Mati is feeling quite conflicted about her feelings for Denton, like she is betraying her late husband. Her hormones are playing havoc with her heart and mind, it’s not her fault – Denton is even more good looking now, why do men seem to age so well?!

One thing Mati has decided is that she needs to move forward, she feels like she is constantly treading water and she still has a lot of life ahead of her to look forward to. Whether she does it alone or shares it with someone doesn’t matter, she wants to free herself from her routined, lonely life and do something she has always wanted to do. She put her career dreams on hold when she became a wife and mother so now is her time to indulge her own desires.

"I mean, that man wants you, and there’s no denying he’s hot as sin. And you want him. He’s perfect for a test drive”

"There’s nothing wrong with a little ride, Mati, to see if you can still handle the road”

Denton would love to claim Mati as his and love her the way he always wanted to but he doesn’t want to be the runner up to her heart. He needs to know that if he is with her then nothing else comes between them. He respects her love for Chris and doesn’t want to replace him in any way but he deserves he own shot with her. Mati is definitely feeling things for Denton but is also aware that he could leave town at any moment, he has a life in LA that he is surely itching to get back to and where will that leave her?

‘I’d never be able to separate my feelings from the physical. It just wouldn’t be me. I fall hard. I love passionately. I get involved. That’s just me.’ - Mati

I loved how such a life changing subject was addressed is such a realistic way in this book. I also believe that you can have more than one great love of your life, this story shows that if you have been in love before, you can find it again no matter what ages or life situation you are in. Romance for the over forties is not a common trope found in the romance books I read but this author has definitely made her mark in this age bracket and does it so well.

‘Chris and I shared everything, especially our feelings for his wife. Only, I loved her first.’ - Denton

DNF 50%. So I picked this book, thinking that yes finally, we're getting more mature protagonists with grown up issues and slow-burn reconnection of two people with a shared past. What I got instead was an irresponsible man-whore who has not matured a day beyond 18, when he left town 27 years ago and never looked back until now. Unfortunately, the heroine is not much better, because there was none of the expected feelings of hesitancy and guilt (misguided that it might be) one would expect of a recently widowed woman, who had a happy marriage with high-school sweetheart until his tragic and unexpected death. No, instead of plenty of feelings, tentative patience and meaningful dialogue, we had instant lust, cheap lines and two randy rabbits at it from the first hello.

I like a love story that features older characters – those that are supposedly more mature, and who have had a chance to experience life a bit and are at a different stage of their lives than characters in the majority of romance books. And in this case, we get a second chance-at-love story between two characters in their mid-40s with a whole lot of history.

“See me.”
“You’re all I see.”

This book is part of the Sexy Silver Foxes series. It can be read as a standalone, but be aware that it follows on from other books by this author and some of the minor side characters have already had their stories told. I wasn’t aware of that when I started this book, but it didn’t impact on my enjoyment of the story at all, just something worth noting.

Mati, Denton and Chris grew up in their small country town as the best of friends. They did everything together, but Mati and Denton shared a special bond. As neighbours, when Denton would be subjected to abuse from his father, he would creep into Mati’s window where she would provide him with comfort that he so desperately needed. But as teens everything began to change as hormones came into the mix. Chris was the one who acted on it, fighting for Mati in the only way he knew how, and when Denton broke Mati’s heart, he was there to pick up the pieces. Almost 30 years later, Chris’ tragic death has left Mati a widow, and she’s just found a letter from her deceased husband telling her to contact Denton.

Since Denton ran away from the town of his youth he has gone on to become a rockstar, with his band achieving huge success. Now in his mid 40s, the band is no longer playing, but Denton still models, gracing the cover of magazines, and is a budding photographer himself. But when a family tragedy calls him home, he will finally be forced to face up to his past, and the girl that he left behind.

It’s a great setup, and I was so excited to see how Mati and Denton’s reunion would come about. From the first contact I could feel the connection and chemistry that existed between them, and I knew it wouldn’t be easy given the circumstances, but I wasn’t expecting the steamy and emotional rollercoaster ride that was to come.

“That man is still the boy who loved you.”

Without being too spoilery, the feels that were always there between Mati and Denton flare back to life, and Denton doesn’t hold back in his quest to have the one woman he has always wanted.

“Don’t ever think I don’t want you, Mati. You’re all I’ve ever wanted.”

There are a lot of years of anger, hurt and guilt between them, and they quickly find themselves in a messy reunion complicated by all of those feels, a whole lot of lust, and their unique personal situations. They have a lot to work through, and it’s not an easy path for them, but the emotion is there and their attraction is undeniable.

“Can you move on?” I ask…
“Everyone tells me it’s time,” she whispers.
“Time for what, Mati?”
“You to kiss me.”

I did have some issues with the way this one played out… only minor spoilers, but tagged just to be safe. .

Through it all, I was pleased that Mati’s relationship with Chris was respected. She loved her husband, and they had a good life, and by the time Denton comes back in to her life she knows she’s ready to move on, and I really liked that. But I also loved that there was such a strong connection between her and Denton, a sense that they were always meant to be, and I love that we got to see them finding their way back to each other.

Overall, I did enjoy this one. It had its frustrations, yes, but I enjoyed the emotion and the intensity of Mati and Denton’s reunion. I liked the side characters who all contributed so much to the story, and the book ends in a great place with an epilogue that made me smile.

“I am … in love with you. I always have been, and I always plan to be.”

3 stars.

Second Chance: a romance for the over 40.
(Sexy Silver Foxes)
By: L.B. Dunbar
5 Stars

I absolutely LOVE the Sexy Silver Foxes! L.B. Dunbar has sure mastered the writing of romance books for the over 40. I enjoy reading about characters who have real life expectations, real life problems and how these issues are resolved with experiences that come naturally to me.

Growing up, Mati, Chris and Denton were inseparable. Best Friends always having each other’s back. When graduation comes, and Denton leaves town, Mati and Chris grow closer. Eventually marrying and starting a family.

While Denton took off and became a successful musician, he has never been back to town.

Now 27 years later…is it time to reveal the secrets…
Or
Are secrets meant to be kept silent forever?

I loved "AfterCare" written by this author. I love "over 40" romances and you rarely see them. There are usually grown children dynamics and second chance is a bigger factor. Makes it interesting.

He starts the book out rather alone. I felt the writing explained where he was in life on how he sets out to visit his mother on her death bed with a road trip by himself across the country.

Once in town he seems to slowly figure all the changes. His meeting with Mati and initial encounters were awkward as hell. I found them to be skeezy. Sorry, not sorry. That masturbating scene was so not sexy. It was too soon after his arrival after being away 27 years and they still knew so little about "why".

And I did not like all the running away and miscommunication scenes. I did like the brothers but I felt like there were too many to keep track of. Is this going to be a series? Her brother, James was so mysterious!??

So Denton was not my "book hero" but he does make Mati a HEA.

It's only January 11th and I think I already read one of my favorite books of 2019 😍

I don't know what to say without spoiling too much, but what I want to tell you is, that you don't want to miss any of L.B. Dunbars books. Her stories, especially her over 40 romance stories, are outstanding. In another review someone wrote: the queen of over 40 romance. And yes, she is!!!!

Mati, Chris and Denton are friends since childhood. But the last 27 years they were separated. Denton left to become a rockstar and Mati and Chris started a family together. Mati loved Chris, who died a year ago, with all of her heart, but she also loved Denton. She never understood why he left without looking back. But now he's back and Mati is confused. Her feelings for Denton are as strong as 27 years ago - and Denton never stopped loving her.

This book is so beautiful and OH MY GOD!!! I love it soooo much. Matis and Dentons story is so real, so deep, so honest. It is and it has everything you want in a good book (but it's not only good, it's excellent). Mati and Denton will forever have a place in my heart. READ IT!

SECOND CHANCE by L.B. Dunbar is the story of Denton Chance and Mati Rath. Denton, Mati and Chris were all best friends. But when graduation came Mati feelings was torn between the two men but then Denton up and left to peruse a career that took him away from them. Now all these years later, Mati is a widow after Chris dies but he left a something for Denton. So Mati goes forward to make contact with him and they both find that their feelings are still there...if not stronger.
Loved this second changes at love with the older couple ( in their 40's).

Older couple.
Second chance romance.
The Hero and heroine and her husband who has died were all childhood friends but the Hero didn't get the girl.
I'm not keen on this troupe.
The Hero takes a phone call at the start and there is a voice from his bed.
No details or names but he just had a ONS.
The heroine hasn't been with anyone since the death of her husband, I think a year.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
HEA.

I enjoyed reading a romance for the 40+ crowd; it’s a nice change of pace, reading about somewhat “seasoned” characters as they live in a different stage of life compared to many other contemporary romances. I will be reading more of this series.
I listened to the audiobook and the female narrator was too stiff for my taste. Her narration didn’t feel natural. I might have liked the book more if I’d read it in print.

This story was amazing just simply amazing! I love reading stories about older couples who get their second chances at love. Just because your older doesn't mean you can't have love and happiness. This story proved that in every way and I loved it.

We get to meet Mati whose husband has died and he leaves her a letter to contact their other best friend Denton and at first Mati isn't so sure she should do that because she is still not done mourning her husband but the more she looks at the letter the more she wants to ans so she does and what she gets at the other end of the phone is fanfreakingtastic!

Denton oh boy I love Denton because when he receives the call from Mati he is not sure he should go to her but his heart is telling him to go so he finally gives in and goes to Mati. What happens when they get together is amazing and it makes the story so sweet and endearing to the reader. So go on and one click this you will not be disappointed!

I am declaring L.B. Dunbar the "Queen of Over 40 Romance"!! I just have to get a tiara and sash worthy of her!

Second Chance is a story in the Sexy Silver Foxes series.

"See me..."  This quote was my undoing, this broke my heart and made me weep.  It's beautiful in it's simplicity, and seemed like an unattainable goal....

This story of Mati and Denton is absolutely breathtaking.  A slow burn that will make you want to jump in the flames and embrace it.

Their story spans decades.  Their story is one that is going to follow me for a long, long time.

You can feel the unresolved issues between Mati and Denton.  You feel the chemistry that has remained between them for years.  The reunion of Mati and Denton is just swoon...I can't describe the magic of Ms. Dunbar's words in this story

You get to see past characters from her other Sexy Silver Foxes books, it was fantastic to "catch up" with them.  Ms. Dunbar also introduced us to a new cast of characters that will hopefully get their own stories in the future! (Fingers crossed!!)

When reading this story, your heart is gonna break, but don't worry, Ms. Dunbar is going to take your broken pieces and put them back together in a new and lovely way.  Love is never lost, sometimes it just takes a bit of a road trip...

Do you see me? Oh yes, Denton, I do see you....
I have been a big fan of L.B. Dunbar's over 40 series and I truly cannot get enough. I loved Mati & Denton's story in Second Chance. I enjoyed all the supporting characters, the town and the real feel of the story. Being over 40 myself, there aren't a lot of authors writing this genre the way L.B. Dunbar delivers. I know we are getting Delores' story next, but I have to say...I really want Billy...like really badly...

★5 AMAZING Stars★

What draws me to read this book was the blurb. To my shame, I never heard or seen a book from this author and I'm so sorry about that. I promise I will rectify that. So this book was a first time read for me from this author. I have no words to describe what this book made me feel.

After I saw that the book is a second chance romance and a romance over 40 I panicked. But this was so much more than that. For me, it wasn't just a second chance romance, and about the age of 40...reality hit me, I'm 32 this year. Time flies like a motherf@ker. So I said...

Imagine similară

It's been a week since I finished the book, and I'm still hangover over this book. The word AMAZING seems nothing. The present is tangled with the past, and the story is told in dual POV...The book tells the story of an unfulfilled love story.

Denton, Mati, and Chris were best friends since they were kids. Mati and Denton had a more special connection because they were neighbors, much special and stronger than with Chris. Although Chris and Denton were best friends with Mati's brothers, the always were closer with Mati...Time passed, they grew up, they became teenagers, Mati became a beautiful and sexy girl. Chris's and Denton life changed in a bad way so their relationship changed too. Chris and Denton stopped seeing Mati as a best friend...they both wanted more.

Image result for more

After a misunderstanding, the first rupture occurred. They were still best friends, but the things were never again the way they were before. After graduating from high school, the things changed forever. Denton runs away in California, leaving behind all and everyone.

Imagine similară

After 27 years Mati is a sexy as hell, fierce redhead widow at forty-four, but she looks like she is pulled out of the model's magazines. And guess what?! She is a volleyball coach at the high school in town. (I totally loved her for that, because I played volleyball for more than ten years). Two years after the death of her husband, finds a letter from her husband.

Taylor Kinney

It's been 27 years since Denton left from his home town, and now he is forced to come back. Mati is a widow, Chris no longer being between them. Does she still love her husband? Does he have a chance? He became a famous rock star, he lived the dream and lived the life, now he is a well known male model and photographer. He has money and fame, but he is not happy...he has no love in his life.

I loved Mati and Denton with all my heart. Trust me you will love them too. At the end of the book, my heart broke for Mati and Denton. I can't say why...you have to read that. I loved Denton with all my heart. He was caring, he was determined, he was stubborn, hot, sexy, dominating and evil in a very delicious way. I am 100% sure that Mati loved one of them more than the other (I'm talking here about Chris and Denton)One of them was a selfish motherf@ker (my opinion), but life is a be@ch...Life sucks sometimes.

The side characters were AWESOME. I wish they all have their own story. Please...I need their own story...Denton's sister, Mati's brothers, her best friends.

Imagini pentru pretty please gif

I am going to stop right here. I don't want to say too much what happens in the book... but this book is a MUST READ! You have to grab and read this AMAZING book.
Definitely unforgettable for me...Definitely a re-read any time from me.

This book has EVERYTHING I love in a book...is hot, sexy, funny, with twist and turns, suspense, love, hate, friendship, and loyalty.

I highly recommend this book! 💗

SECOND CHANCE, like the title suggests, is a romance about a couple who are over 40, though I think anyone of any age can enjoy it!

Denton Chance was once best friends with only 2 people: Mati Harrington and Chris Rath. Denton and Chris both fell in love with Mati in high school but Denton gave her up to Chris and left their small town. He became a rockstar, a model and a photographer. But his Mama is dying and after almost 30 years of being gone, it's time for him to return home. Mati is recently widowed with 2 grown boys. She loved Chris deeply but it's time to move on with her life. When she finds a letter that Chris left her, she knows she has to face her past and contact the other love of her life...Denton.

First and foremost, a huge KUDOS to Ms Dunbar for creating characters that were so full of depth and layers and flaws and beauty. Mati and Denton felt like real people to me and as an avid reader, that's a gem of a find! I genuinely admired Mati and the struggle she faced to pull herself from the despair, the loneliness, the fear of being a widow. It took a lot of strength and courage to start any kind of relationship with Denton. Plus, after 27 years apart, it's not like Mati and Denton were able to rush into each other's arms. No, their past was built on secrets and misunderstandings, hurdles that made it difficult to trust. Their romance slowly builds one delicious encounter at a time. And let me gush for a moment about the devine Denton! Was he the perfect book boyfriend? Nope! But I loved that about him, I loved that he had insecurities just like everyone else, inspite of his fame and fortune.

This book simply tugged at my heartstrings, from all of the wonderful characters (including secondary) to the world building in this small town to the slow burn of Denton and Mati's romance. Definitely a book for my READ AGAIN E-SHELF! Told from dual POVs with a delightfully sweet ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

This really is a second chance romance, when we have Mati , Chris and Denton all best friends until Mati changes in all the right places and both boys fell in love with her.
As these happen with something story Mati married after getting pregnant with twin boys.
We fast forward and comes back to town because his mother is dying. Mati is now a widow and a man she secretly loved is back in town. At ripe old age of forty is secretly pleased his back and Mati wants to ease Denton's heartache.
Being more mature you would not think a second chance romance is even more complicated, but the path to true happiness is paved with relatives and children.
This is the second book of L.D Dunbar I read and I enjoyed the fact I was reading about more mature relationships. I loved Denton I thought he has plenty of sex appeal and I enjoyed this book. I married my second at 40 so it great to relate to the characters.

This book...it has almost broken me. There are so many things about Denton and Mati that are a reflection of things that I am currently experiencing and feeling. I have teared up many times while reading their story. A great book does that to you.

If you were given a Second Chance would you take it.
That is the question that is asked throughout Mati & Denton’s story. There is a lot of history between the two but there is also a lot of secrets also.
Their story is one that is heartwarming, heartbreaking and full of angst but it’s a story that you won’t want to miss. How many ups and downs can two people endure but when you feel that connection you can’t help wonder if it’s worth everything you believe in.
L.B Dunbar has given the over forty audience these incredible stories to show you that love and happiness can be found at any age and you should never feel your to old to find the love you are looking for.

3.5 ⭐️

Thank you so much to Social Butterfly PR and Author LB Dunbar for the ARC.

I really enjoyed The Sex Education of Me by this author and wanted to read more in the Over 40 Romance Genre.

The very aptly name Second Chance is the 3rd stand alone in the Sexy Silver Foxes Series but my first.

I loved the premise of the book together with Mati and Denton. There were parts where this book was a real page turner and had me completely engaged and others where I was frustrated and lost interest.

I loved
that I felt the love and the sexual tension between Mati and Denton from the very beginning.
Mati’s strength and love for her boys.
Mati’s relationship with her sons pregnant girlfriend Hollilyn
Denton’s grandmother
Discovering how their friendship first came to be as kids and how they both become each other’s first love.
Mati and Denton dancing together and finally being where they belong- with each other.
The realistic depiction of love after loss.

I didn’t particularly like
The flow of the story. It wasn’t smooth and there were far too many parts where Mati and Denton were both remembering the same past numerous times.
The stop start in Mati and Denton’s relationship
The secrets they both kept from each other and the silly misunderstandings felt like drama for drama sake to me.
They failed to listen to what everyone in town could see and was telling them about being right for each other and to stop wasting anymore time. 27 years was long enough.

I love this genre and LB Dunbar is a great in delivering, and plan to read the others in the series.

Mati & Denton's story was a really tough read for me. There is a lot of history and heartbreak with their story, and quite a lot of ... angst. There are also a lot of secrets being kept throughout the story - not just between the two of them, but with Denton's family. And Denton & Mati are emotionally apart for (what felt like to me) a lot of the story. These things hampered me from fully enjoying their HEA, because I felt like... I wanted to read more of them together & happy.

However! The writing, as throughout this series, is beautiful! Also, the story itself, the second chance these two are given, is well written. The characters dug into my heart, and they made me FEEL - even when I didn't like what I was feeling. : )

OH MY GOD! L.B. has done it again! The emotions are so real between Denton & Mati! I thought I was in love with Tommy & then Hank but Denton! OH MY! Everything about this story was perfect! I can’t wait for the more to come with all the new characters we got to meet in this book! Thank you for another amazing book with characters over 40. You are the true ROCKSTAR in writing these books!
