Erica Procunier is an Emmy-nominated, Canadian Screen Award Winning composer for film and other media. Her credits include scores for film, television, theatre, advertisement and interactive productions. Her scores are full of whimsy, mischievousness and eccentricity with great attention to dramatic and comedic timing.

Erica recently scored Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go as well as the Apple TV+’s Emmy winning series Ghostwriter, for which she received a 2021 Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Original Music. Erica has worked on critically acclaimed films such as the hit misfit comedy Don’t Talk to Irene starring Geena Davis and the anxiety-ridden drama Mariner, both official selections at the Toronto International Film Festival. She has scored the rowdy CBC primetime comedy series Little Dog, and season one of the CBC children’s series Detention Adventure. She was commissioned by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Toronto International Film Festival to compose the score for DAM! The Story of Kit the Beaver, a live film-concert for the celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday. The film premiered live in concert with the TSO and toured to orchestras across Canada. Her composition, "Precipice", was the commissioned centrepiece of Seneca College's Nuit Blanche exhibition in Toronto, which included artwork by over 60 students and faculty inspired by the same piece of music.

Erica won a Canadian Screen Award in 2022 for her work on the CBC Documentary ‘The COVID Cruise’. Erica was nominated for the Peer Raben award at Soundtrack Cologne in 2021 and was selected to attend Berlinale Talents 2019. She is an alumna composer of the Canadian Film Centre’s Slaight Family Music Lab. She currently teaches Scoring Techniques for Picture for students in Humber College’s internationally renowned music program. She is an executive on the board of directors for the Screen Composers Guild of Canada and holds a Masters of Music Composition from Western University.
