A new addition to the range of access solutions offered by British manufacturer Terry Lifts is the Harmony FE (fully enclosed) lift, which is available in three different models, for ambulant users, independent wheelchair users or wheelchair plus attendant.

This “through the floor” home lift requires much less space than a conventional lift. No shaft or structure is required and the footprint is very compact, allowing it to be placed almost anywhere in the home.

Closomat Palma life

Closomat has come up with a novel solution to an increasingly widespread problem. Local authorities may pay for the installation of equipment such as an automatic wash and dry toilet, but they very often won't fund the essential maintenance it requires.

Closomat's answer is Palma Life: an automatic wash and dry toilet complete with 10 years of service and maintenance, for one simple price. This means that occupational therapists and specifiers can recommend the product for installation, without worrying about how the user will manage to pay for maintenance for the next decade.

Their towel-off shampoo and no-water body wash are ideal for use during hospital stays and periods of illness, or when bathing is difficult for any reason. The products are pleasantly fragranced and contain no harmful chemicals. Gentle on the skin, they are effective cleansers, approved by the NHS.
