Wow! I was completely glued to the pages from start to finish. Victoria Johns has ticked all the right boxes for this MC lover with this brilliant debut MC novel.
I love MC for the angst, the danger, the thrill of the ride and Victoria Johns satisfied all my desires I love in an MC read with Angel.
What begins with two childhood best friends living in a trailer park, supporting and being there for each other, seeking comfort in one another from their own messed up parents turns into a nightmare when they are separated by tragic events that suddenly take place.
When Rosie is attacked by one of her mothers nightly visits Declan comes to her rescue but brings with him his dad, to help, things get ugly and a murder is committed. A murder of a local MC member. Declan's father flees to keep himself safe taking Declan with him and leaving Rosie alone to fend for herself.
A series of more fortunate events take place but Rosie who becomes Gracie and Angel to her new family when she is adopted by the MC who find her only sees Declan who is now Wolf to a rival MC years later when she is thirty years old.
Captivated from the start, I absolutely loved Rosie and Declan's reunion, the hotness and chemistry the angst and danger in the midst of it all when Gracie becomes endangered and Wolf returns to claim his Rosie.
The plot lures a complete mix of emotions, excitement, hope and boy did I swoon for this bad boy called Wolf.
I loved Gracie she was sassy, had backbone, she could hold her own against any biker and she was so sure of herself and carried it gracefully with swagger like the best of them.
Declan was focused, he had one goal and that was to get back what he lost all those years ago and that was his best friend and sole mate Rosie. He was danger in a leather jacket, the president of an MC and nothing was going to get in his way.
Brilliant and completely recommended to any MC readers. I loved it, the characters and the plot that I didn't want to end.
Told In first person dual pov and leads to hea. Looking forward to more MC goodness from Victoria Johns.

This author was new to me, never read her work before, but I certainly will be from now on.
This book was beyond amazing. I've read loads of MC books before but nothing like this one.
The twists and turns in this book had me on the edge of my seat along with the writing style. I was hooked from page 1 and read it in one sitting.
Declan and Rosie are now two of my favourite characters of all time. Rosie was a super strong and independent heroine whilst even though Declan was President of his MC, he was super protective and clearly in love with Rosie.
One of my best reads of 2018 so far!

Wow, what a read this one was. The author has really outdone her soft with this book. You are taken on a ride into the MC world and it is a rolllercoaster of emotions. The characters are ones that you can really relate to. The flow of the story is exemplary, and the writing impeccable. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

I’ve consistently enjoyed by Victoria Johns reads, the Soul Mates series being a series I was more than willing to devour, meaning I was pretty eager to dive into the new Victoria Johns series. I was especially interested when I found out it was to be a motorcycle club read, as I have a particular weakness for such stories.
Whilst I usually love Victoria Johns, sadly, Angel didn't do it for me. It was enjoyable enough, but I had been hoping for something more. Whether it’s due to my standards being high from the Soul Mates series or whether it is due to my standards being high with motorcycle club reads, this one felt as though it was lacking the little something extra that makes the book a wow read.
There was so much potential with Angel, my expectations being set quite high. There was the promise of darkness, a link between the past and the present of the characters’ lives, and the fun of a motorcycle club. Although these elements did exist, I feel as though they were not taken as far as they could have been. We got glimpses of the good stuff, but I was constantly waiting for that little bit more.
I think my biggest issue is that I never came to feel the chemistry between the two characters. Their story was interesting, yet I never felt any chemistry between them. In fact, they seemed to spend more time apart than they spent together – thus making it difficult for me to feel anything between them. Add in the predictability of their story, and there wasn’t really anything to make this stand out when compared to my usual motorcycle club reads.
As a whole, Angel was enjoyable enough but it wasn’t all I had hoped it would be. I’m interested in seeing what the next Black Sentinels MC book brings, but I’m not yet as invested in this series as I have been with other Victoria Johns books.

This is the first Victoria Johns book I’ve read and I can honestly say I’m in love.
Angel is my soul sister! The sass and just overall badass women is a dream to read.
She doesn’t need to use her fists as her mouth is more then capable of bringing you to earth with a bump.
Wolf is as handsome and sexy as I hoped he would be.
Just love all the characters and truly hope there is more to come!!!

Holy Phenomenal. Angel is one amazing MC novel. This book was different than most MC novels I have read. It had a unique plot and dynamic characters. This book has romance, mystery, twists, and many turns. If you like sarcastic heroines and alpha males, then this book is for you.
The plot of this book surprised me. I didn’t expect what I got. What happens when you have lived your life holding onto one lie? Would you let it dominate your life or embrace the now and leave the past in the past? This book explores these questions. I think the theme of this book is to not assume things about others. I also would say it is to be careful who you trust.
Angel is such a great character. I love her attitude. While she may not seem independent because she still relies on her family a lot, she actually has a mind of her own. She does what she wants when she wants to and deals with the consequences later. I love that free spirit from her. Then you have Wolf. He is as sexy as sexy can be. I seriously fell in love with him. He has a strong alpha personality, but he has so many layers that you cannot trust what you see on the surface. I loved that about him.
The heat in this book is top notch. These two characters have a chemistry that started long before anyone realized. I loved how they got together. It was like a match to gasoline. Everything went up in flames. As the story progressed, the heat between these two kept getting better and better. I really enjoyed this about the book.
I liked the writing style of the book. It was told in dual point of view, but it wasn’t switching every chapter. Instead, we would get a section from one character, then a section from another. It was a good way to tell the story. The pace of the story was steady. I also really enjoyed the mystery and twists in the book.
Overall, I loved this book. It drew me in and kept me interested until the very end. I had a hard time putting this book down in order to participate in real life. I would recommend this book to others. I thought it was a great read and would read it again. Amazing story.

Sad, beautiful and tragic. Explains Rosie growing up in a trailer park with her pathetic excuse for a mother. Her mother gave her room to do as she pleased with little to no consequences, she didn’t care for school and did her fair share of messing around. Declan her best friend was always a little shy to participate in her pranks, but he looked to her for comfort. Making a mistake one day, it turned their lives upside-down and changed everything. Declan leaving her behind with his equally messed up father. Rosie had no one but something amazing happened and she got a second chance. She grew up to be a strong woman with too much pain in her past and a secret she kept from her family. The family that took her in, the only family that ever truly loved her.
What can I say about this book, I just loved it! This book does not have a dull moment in it. With lots of unexpected twists, the story is truly unpredictable and very well written. The characters are well rounded, loyal and willing to do whatever necessary for the family. The crew is unlike most, they are on the right side of the law, it makes for a good story, and a great twist. This is one story I will never forget and one novel I will read again.

OMG do yall know what I'm doing right now?! I'm fangirling hard for Victoria Johns! And I'm wondering where has this author been all my life?! Ms. Johns absolutely positively blew me away! I'm talking like this is the best MC book I've read in a really long time kind of blew me away. And that's saying something, because I read a ton of MC books! I would probably even go as far as to say the best MC book I've read all year and one of my top favorites books of all time. That's how good this book was. I don't yell praises like this too often but this is me screaming that this book is absolutely amazing! There are rival MCs and danger/violence, there are twists and turns and suspense that had me on the edge of my seat, there are secrets buried under more secrets, and there is a strong emotional, passionate bond between Declan and Rosie that I as the reader could feel pouring off the pages. These characters are in heart and soul now. It's been a day since I finished reading Angel and I can't stop thinking about them. I've even tried to start reading another book but I just can't get into it because Rosie and Dec are still in my head.
I'm not sure what this author has up her sleeve next, but I for one can hardly wait! And this is me begging, please release another MC novel!!

Holy smoke....Victoria Johns venture into MC was everything I wanted and more. Highly addictive story with twists and turns that you never imagined. Rosie and Dec are true soulmates despite the circumstances that are desperate to keep them apart. I’m truly at a loss for words over this one as it was so much more than I expected and definitely worth more than 5 stars. I really hope the next in the series is not too far off (hint hint)

Declan and Rosie are best friends, although after what happens Declan’s dad makes them leave and Rosie doesn’t see him again. Rosie is found by the Black Sentinels, they take her in and the president cares for her as his daughter and calls her Angel, his wife calls her Gracie, they don’t know what she did.
Angel never expected to see him again or how she did, sneaking into the garage, she’s caught by the president of Carnals MC, Wolf, only she knows he’s Declan.
They both new that after the years apart there was still something between them, they could feel the spark, but one thing he knows is she’s still a handful like she was when they were younger, Rosie challenged him in a way no woman had before and thing changed between them and Wolf is more determined to keep her and to keep the trouble away form Angel and protect her, especially when he finds out she’s in more danger than he thought and from where no one suspected.

A great start to this series & the first book i've read by Victoria Johns . It begins with two children who grew up with a mom that didn't care for Rosie Collins & Declan Fosters dad used him as a punch bag . They only had each other & when curiosity ends in death & disaster they are parted , his dad runs with him & Rosie becomes the Black Sentinels Angel but fate & conspiracy brings them back into each others lives , both hiding secrets from each other , in Angels case from her new family . I found i couldn't put this book down once i started it , as each secret & layer to this story was uncovered the more hooked i became , can't wait for the next in this series .

WOW!! WOW!! I can’t believe I have never read this author before. This is her debut MC series and she rocked it. I love MC books and I feel like this author put her own twist on this book. I’m waiting for my emotions to get off the roller coaster that was this book. I was captivated from the first chapter. Declan and Rosie are in my top ten all time favorite couples. Declan is so protective over Rosie. They have a palpable that you can feel coming off the pages. I can’t wait for more Black Sentinels!!!!

Worst part is what happens next changes not only Rosie’s life but Dec, the boy next door, ‘s life too. Dec father was a raging alcoholic who was for shit. But one in the moment decision changed all of their lives. With some dead, some saved and some that would be determined later...

Let me start with my girl Rosie aka Angel, I fucking LOVE her!! This girl is like perfect!! I feel her, I vibe with her. I mean when she said “...All us girls want when we’re younger is to be wherever our dad is.” I was hooked. I am a daddy’s girl and grew up around cars. I loved every minute of being in my dads shop. I chose that over most. I still love cars. So this was special to me. Their relationship hit me hard. Anyway she is a spit fire and I love it.
Well I don’t want to ruin the story but there is was incredibly alpha sexy man that I am like in love with!! You will meet him and know EXACTLY who I am talking about. He is forever!! Ahhh and these two are perfect together.
I enjoyed every single minute of this book. I really enjoyed that this wasn’t just a “Sons of Anarchy” spin off. This was a new version of an MC book and I ate it up!! The characters were all well developed and I can not wait to read more about these guys!! The words were beautiful and I did have to look a few words up because from the wording I did realize this author isn’t from America and possibly this book did not take place here. But it did not make me love this book any less. I am so damn happy I read this book. This is a MUST read!!!

When they were ten one tragic evening resulted in Declan and his father leaving and Angel was left behind. She ended up being rescued by the Black Sentinels and they have become their family even if it is based on a lie.
Years later they meet again except Declan is now Wolf, the President of the Carnals MC who is the Black Sentinels rival. The connection and chemistry between them is stronger and hotter than ever but Wolf is more equipped to deal with the headstrong Angel. He is determined that Angel would be his but when all is said and done at what cost?
This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. Angel is feisty and strong while Declan is a perfect match for her as he likes those qualities about her and is willing to do anything to protect her. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Gripping
I brought my Kindle to the hairdressers for my cut and colour. 2.5hrs later when the stubborn grey eventually gave in to my colour I had almost gotten 50% through. This story is gripping, and as I got to know Angel and Wolf I couldn't put it down. Don't think you're going to be reading about starlight and moonbeams, this story has violence, anger and danger as well as true connections of love,lust and trust. Angel has lived 2 lives, and carries a secret which may destroy and take away the only family she has really ever known, the Sentals MC. She lost as a child the only person that she ever really considered family, her best friend Declan and didn't ever want to do that again. Her world is shattered when her past in the form of Declan comes back into her life in his place as Wolf the president of a rival MC gang. Lies and secrets threaten to destroy both of them. But no spoilers, except for this, you will say holy shit and omg and wow, a lot, and you won't be able to put it down. If you like an MC read then don't hesitate, grab this now.

Wow! What a read this is. When I read the blurb to this I just had to read it and I'm delighted I did. I started this thinking I'll just read a couple of chapters before I go to work. Well, I couldn't put it down, so work just had to wait.
This is a great story and the characters are brilliant. Angel (Rosie) is a feisty character and isn't like most women; she was found in a trailer when she was 10 and brought up by the Black Sentinels MC. JP and his old lady brought her up as their own daughter. They gave her a life she would've never had. Her best and only friend Declan got ripped away from her by his cruel father. At the time she never thought she would see him again, least of all 20 years later!
This is an exciting read and had my nervous butterflies working a lot. If you like MC books, then this is definitely for you. I would also recommend this if you're not an MC fan as I think this would change your mind. Go on, one click now!

My first read of a Victoria Johns book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I could tell without reading her bio she was English by some of the terminology but that's ok. The book wasn't heavy on violence description, had some comedy, but best of all it got my heart rate going a couple of times. I might even have to go in search of other books she has written.
Angels life is not a conventional one. Taken from her home by the president of an MC after instigating the murder of one of his brothers. The same night she loses her best friend and her mother.
Her life becomes better, although her guilt follows her constantly, her new mother and father along with all the other Sentinels love her and protect her.
Until her father takes on a job for another MC, the Carnals.
When their President turns out to be someone Angel thought was long gone she is afraid as he knows all her secrets.

Wow, this story blew me away! Declan and Rosie were brought up in the same circumstances, and they were separated at age ten due to tragedy. Rosie was taken in by The Sentinels, and loved and protected by the MC. Declan is now known as Wolf, and is the president of a rival MC, and when he spots Rosie, he recognises her straight away. The chemistry between these two is intense, but what will happen when secrets are revealed? No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This author has done an amazing job with her first venture into the MC world. This is a captivating and engaging page turner, which is filled with drama, angst, twists, thrills, and is an emotional rollercoaster journey throughout. I was totally hooked and intrigued and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, and I highly recommend her work for all MC lovers out there!

This is my first VJ read & I have to say I loved it! I’m such a sucker for MC, so when a friend recommended this one, I didn’t hesitate to grab a copy & dive in.
This is story of Rosie (Angel) & Declan (Wolf) who were torn apart as children, before being thrust back together 20 years later. Even though Wolf was always coming for the girl that claimed his heart as a young weak boy, Angel never thought she would ever see the boy who became a man again.... INSERT FIREWORKS!,
Their journey was a bit bumpy, but not overly so at the beginning, I’d say it was more a slow burn, with some cat & mouse games to set the scene. The main plot twist came with a bam & from there the angst rocketed & the plot thickened, keeping me hooked to the end.
Really looking forward to book 2 to see where VJ takes the MC next.

I wholeheartedly enjoyed this book! This was my first read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised.
Rosie/Angel was the perfect mix of sweetheart and badass. I loved that she was so outspoken and had no qualms about putting people in their place. I liked the dynamic between her and all the men in her life, especially her dad. Her one moment of stupidity was integral to the plot, but I hated it all the same. Declan/Wolf was also a great character. I hate that they were separated for so long, but it all made sense.
The things I really want to write about would give too much away and be considered spoilers, so I'll just say grab a copy of this book ASAP. You won't regret it.
I look forward to more from this author and would recommend it to others.

Angel was amazing and what a story line so many twists and turns you really felt the attraction from both the main characters and it was an awesome read. Victoria Johns what an author, this is the first MC book I've read by this author and I was blown away.

This was the first time I read this author, but not the last! This was a fantastic story. Declan & Rose were children growing up in unfortunate circumstances that leads to a horrible tragedy, ripping them apart. They reconnect 20 years later and It is explosive. Well what can I say this book was brilliant and flowed really well. I totally loved the writing style of this author and as a new to me author she made an impact for me to read more of her work.
The characters in this book are brilliant Rosie aka Angel and Declan aka Wolf were a match made in heaven and by fate they found each other again. This book isn't an easy read by any stretch of the imagination, what else do you expect from an MC book. The men are real alpha's and the women are strong and sassy.
It's a MC book with a difference and a total win for me. I totally recommend this book and I most definitely look forward to the rest of her work.

Holy moly this was sooooo good! Every time I thought I had it figured out the story twisted and boom I had no idea what was going to happen next. I love Angel (Rosie) big time, her sass, her attitude and her mouth made me smile so much and her love for Wolf (Declan) absolutely shone from the page even when she thought she hated him. There were so many well thought out plot twists that I was constantly on my toes whilst reading. Every character was planned perfectly, every second of the story so well constructed that I finished reading in one sitting (about four hours). I hope there is/will be more from this series as there are so many side character that intrigued me.

This was my first read by Victoria John's and hot damn I want to read all shes written now!
I love an MC read at the best of times but the fab story line this had was an added bonus to dirty talking bikers that MC books usually have.
So Declan and Rosie were childhood friends.. when an life changing incident happens making them part ways never to see each other again.. until 20 years later when Rosie's world is blown apart with Declans arrival back into her life!
Fab story.. kick ass heroine aswell as fab characters.. fab writing... fab twists and turns.. fab read!

Angel is the first book of a new MC series and it didn’t disappoint. It has everything in it that you would expect from an MC read. There is plenty of drama and a few suprises that I didnt see coming. I love Declan and Rosie and you could spot their chemistry and love for each other from the get go even when they tried to deny it. Their path is a troubled one but one they need to walk. I enjoyed this book and i cant wait to read about more of the sentinels.

What a story
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and it most definitely will not be the last.
I absolutely loved it. I loved the sassy angel, the dark and dangerous alpha Declan.
This book has me gripped front start to finish.
If you like your MC books this one is for you, you will not be disappointed I promise.
I would give it 10 stars if possible as 5 to me just isn’t enough
I can not wait for book 2 ❤️❤️

Black Sentinels was the bomb!
Loved this book from the beginning. Rosie and Declan were fated to reunite, and their path back to each other was risky , dangerous and so worth it in the end. Great characters all around, even the evil ones. Every girl hopes for their HEA, and she got that and so much more with Declan. Intense from start to finish, can't wait for Gigi to keep the series going.
