Airbus has released the review of its performance in July in terms of aircraft orders and deliveries. As the report shows, performance indicators are growing: 33 orders and 69 deliveries across its all product lines.

If we talk about orders, the major demand is seen for the widebody planes. 20 A350 XWBs were booked by Air China, which, according to the airframer, is “a major Airbus customer, currently operating A350-900s, along with A330s, A319s, A320s and A321s”.

Also, eight A330-900s were placed on order by Virgin Atlantic while two A350-900s were ordered by Dubai Aerospace Enterprise.

In terms of single-aisle aircraft, only two A320neo planes were booked for Spain’s Iberia and one ACJ319 Airbus Corporate Jetliner for a private customer.

The review of the deliveries, in turn, indicates greater need for single-aisle jetliners, as 54 aircraft out of 69 delivered in July were from across the A220 line and A320 Family. Meanwhile, there were 15 widebody deliveries.

As of 31 July, 2019, Airbus’ backlog of jetliners stood at 7,198 aircraft: 5,822 A320 Family jetliners and 431 A220s, 618 A350 XWBs, 276 A330s and 51 A380s.
