Big Creek Connects – Event

Fall Hike: Brooklyn's "Oxbow" (the Kingdom)
Sunday, October 27th, 2019
1:00 pm

Brooklyn's Laurel Garden Club & Big Creek Connects invite you to:

Explore this hidden green treasure (with fall colors) — Brooklyn's "Oxbow." We'll be joined by Cleveland Museum of Natural History naturalist Garrett Ormiston to learn about native plants within this forested area and the wetland habitat within the abandoned streambed of Big Creek

PLUS learn about restoration and trail plans that seek to conserve, enhance and connect Big Creek with the community, including the stream restoration project in Brooklyn Memorial Park.

Park behind the Brooklyn Fire Station & meet in its Community Room, 8400 Memphis Ave., 44144, 1 pm. Dress for the weather & muddy trail.

Begin and end with light lunch and Halloween treats. We will return to the Community Room near 3:00 (Browns play at 4).  If you will join us, please register so we can plan refreshments. This should be peak fall foliage weekend in NEO!
