Statement of Purpose

We create our church together so we can become more loving, more forgiving, more compassionate, more hopeful and more just in the world.  We worship the God who is the source of all of those qualities. UCC Missoula is an open and affirming, creation justice congregation, cultivating more joy and justice through the life and teachings of Jesus.  When we engage with scripture, we do so with softened hearts and sharpened minds, bringing old stories into contemporary light. We come to the text to have our answers questioned as often as we look to have our questions answered.
