I never wanted to be a royal.
I could leave that to my older brother and sister and be happy.
I’d rather see the world, experience life with unjaded eyes, and meet people who liked me based on something other than their expectations.
Gentry Barrington saw exactly who I was the first time we met, the real me.
My title wasn’t part of the equation.
It was our connection that made the impression...
And maybe our kiss that stopped time, it was so good.
He had no idea how young I was.
I had no idea how old he was.
But sometimes appearances did matter, and there were rules that must be followed…
Or else the forbidden became too alluring to ignore.

This is Ava's story.

-“You’re the most exquisite thing I’ve ever seen.”

 photo 61D1EF93-D7ED-4BAE-88AF-F6C72A2714EA_zps0crsox86.jpg

Ava Safrin is the rebellious, reluctant princess of Farrow. She’s the youngest sister in the close knit Safrin family, but never feels like she can compete with her perfect siblings, so she doesn’t even try. She’s often considered a wild child and trouble. She doesn’t even attempt to be proper, and doesn’t feel she’s cut out for this life she was born into. She wants nothing to do with the monarchy, and if she had her way she’d just travel and see the world.

While on a visit to see her sister Eden who is the Queen of Niaps, she meets an intoxicatingly beautiful man named Gentry Barrington. He’s the hottest guy she’s ever seen. They share an unforgettable kiss, and then she returns home, where she continues to obsess over him. Months later she returns to Niaps, and is hoping during her stay she can enjoy a bit of freedom, and avoid the limelight that comes with being a princess. Most of the time she feels like she lives in a bubble, but things feel more relaxed in Niaps.

While there her path crosses again with Gentry, but things quickly turn complicated as they learn more about one another. Truths are revealed, and everything changes. They share an easy connection, but Gentry worries about their age difference. He’s been consumed with desire for Ava since the day he laid eyes on her, but now he’s labeled her off limits. The problem is no matter how hard he tries, he can’t stop thinking about her. She makes him feel out of control and reckless, and he’s not sure he can stay away from her. Ava is frustrated and tired of living her life under everyone else’s rules. She wants him desperately, and isn’t willing to give up on him. As they are both struggling with trying to keep their distance, Gentry suddenly feels like he has the world on his shoulders. Will they continue to try and fight their growing feelings, or will they decide what they have together is worth the risk?

-There’s something about the way he looks at me. Definitely something about the way his eyes on me makes me tingle from my head to my toes.

-Time stops. My lips feel drawn to his and I step on my tiptoes to chase it, just as he lowers his mouth to mine.

-He holds me tighter against him as we explore each other, until I don’t know where he begins and I end. It is an awakening. I’m aware that I will never be the same after this kiss.

Ruin (Kingdoms of Sin, Book 3) by Willow Aster is a royal, forbidden age gap story set in a world of lust, greed, and power. It’s sexy, taboo, and full of amazing chemistry. Gentry is a gorgeous man with the kindest heart, and Ava is a little spitfire. I just adored her feisty personality. I love this series and can’t wait for Jadon’s book next!

I do love the writing style from Miss Aster. I read the first book in this series. Again, the writing is still good. But the drama/ plot is too much. Its like a soap opera going on and on too long. I also bit frustrated with Gentry keep pushing Eva over and over again. Finally they hooked up, then he pushed her again.

Its really like a broken record. I also do not get the chemistry or why Gentry an Eva interested in each other. Even the forbidden love story does not bite this time.

Overall this is an OK read thanks to the writing. The other needs more work to make the story believable.

Wow, wow, WOW! I absolutely and wholeheartedly enjoyed Ruin by Willow Aster! As book three in the Kingdoms of Sin series, I was so excited to read this book. I loved the first two books, but was not prepared for just how much I would love Ava's book! So much so, it's probably my favorite in the series!

Ruin was emotional, angsty, and deliciously forbidden. With so much packed into this book, it's nearly two stories in one! You get age gap and the forbidden element, coupled with so many twists and turns! Just when you think you have this book figured out... plot twist! Get ready for an incredible and suspenseful read! I devoured this book, and was on the edge of my seat from start to finish!

Willow Aster's story telling and world building is flawless and on point. An epic and incredible read for lovers of royal romance with a forbidden element! Absolutely a must read, not to be missed!

*sigh* I loved this book so much!

It had everything I love in a book
Feisty take no shit heroine ✔️
Heart stopping suspense ✔️
A bit of forbidden love ✔️
Swoon worthy romance ✔️
Ava and Gentry were everything. From their chemistry the second they met, to the forbidden flirting, to finally being able to give in and love each other out in the open, had me smiling from ear to ear! They are definitely my favorite couple in the series so far.

Have I told you all how much I love this world Willow has created?? I probably have but I’m going to keep screaming it because

I LOVE THIS SERIES! Each book leaves me practically speechless. And this one was no exception.

The suspense had me gasping and exclaiming. I am seriously dying for the final book in the series. I can’t wait to read Jadon’s story and find out how everything will come to close.

So....
Do you like Royals? Do you like angst? Do you like suspense that makes your heart race? Do you like kick ass heroines, and hot as hell hero’s? Do you like twists you won’t see coming?

If you answered yes to any of these questions read this series! Go back and start with Downfall and work your way through!
You won’t be disappointed!!

Ruin is the third book in the Kingdom of Sin series. While it can be read as a standalone, there are a lot of other characters from previous books in this one and I think in order to get a true understanding of the whole story, it is best to read them in order. But Ava and Gentry's story itself does not tie into anything else.

If you have read my previous reviews on this series, then you know I have been running right down the middle with it. I don't love it, but I am not hating it either. And that seems to be the path I am on for the whole series. I was really looking forward to Ava's story but there a few things that really kept this book just ok for me.

One thing that has nothing to do with the story but I think is misleading to readers is the cover - this is Ava's book - why is there a guy on the cover??? If anything - at least make it a couple. But Ruin is truly Ava's story and I just felt the cover completely betrays that.

Anyway, I digress. Ava is the rebellious princess because she has two older siblings who had to deal with most of the royal duties. And truly, she's never liked the limelight or anything that goes with being a royal; she's always felt like she was being held captive in a castle and just wanted to be set free.

Ava meets Gentry briefly for the first time at a wedding, but they really don't have any time to share anything except for a kiss that sears itself into her. Some time later, she returns to Nipas to finish her education and stumbles upon Gentry there and they learn a few things about one another inadvertently. And things get even more interesting from there.

Gentry and Ava try to keep things platonic but the chemistry between them is undeniable. Gentry is trying to work a few things and Ava can tell he is keeping something from her. And there is the twist, that while interesting, I felt too away from Ava and Gentry's story. It became another plot line that did not mesh well with current one. The flow of the book took a sharp turn and never really got back on the same path.

Did I enjoy the twist, yes. It was interesting, but I had a hard time figuring out how they blended into Ava and Gentry's story. It felt like I was reading two plots in one book and nothing ever meshed properly. This part for me really needed to be better edited and fleshed out. I understand why it happened, but again, it just felt too forced and almost felt like I was reading two different stories.

Overall, I went from being really excited about this story to just ok on it. I felt things with Gentry's secrets played out too quickly and were underdeveloped at the end. It was a lot of build up for a meh ending. Overall, I will still read the remaining book because I am curious where the author takes this twist. However, I am still right down the middle with this series.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

The Kingdoms of Sin series continues with book 3 and it is everything I was waiting for! I instantly fell in love with this series with Downfall. And then came Exposed and I fell even more in love. Now we have Ruin and I can honestly say I am truly blown away by this series and I don't want it to end after the next book.

Willow brought Ava and Gentry to life in a way that I can't explain. From the very beginning, they both capture you and create a whirlwind that you don't want to escape from. You are captivated and enthralled by everything they want and do. You feel every emotion, every hiccup, every single tension filled moment. You are there, living each and every moment with them, and there are times that you will want to throw your kindle across the room... because I nearly did on several occasions.

There were times I felt a little lost as to what was happening because things seemed so crazy, but that is the storyline and honestly, if I hadn't felt that way during those scenes, then the connection wouldn't have been as strong as I wanted it to be. I was completely and utterly connected to each and every moment. I was there, living and breathing it.

Though all of the books in the series are standalone novels, they are interconnected and I highly suggest starting with Downfall when diving in to the world of Kingdoms of Sin. The read is worth it. I can't wait for Book 4 - which is Jadon's story.

Four beautiful stars for this emotionally suspenseful romance that will have you begging for more the whole way through, and when all is said and done, you will be on your knees wondering why it had to even end.

Ruin by Willow Aster
“Rebel royal, 4 stars”

Upfront, the only reason Ruin is getting 4 stars is because I needed more. I need answers like now. Granted I know that we will get those answers in the next book but I’m not a patient woman. With that said, if you love a good royal story with an unusual twist than look no further.
Ava wants nothing to do with the life she was born into. She loves her family and she does love her country but she doesn’t love the pressure her country puts on her family. They see her as the rebellious princess and that’s fine by her. When she goes to visit her sister to finish out her schooling, she can’t help but hope some of the pressure on her will lesson. What she didn’t expect was the guy she’s been thinking of since the wedding being there.
Gentry has been thinking of the beautiful woman he met at his friend’s wedding for a while, what he didn’t expect was for her to walk through his door. He wants her but he can’t have her, until he does. They know they are forbidden but sometimes forbidden is worth it. When Ava’s life is on the line Gentry will do anything to get the woman he loves back. The question is will it be too late?

As I started Ruin, book three in this standalone series that Willow is so graciously delivering to us, I assumed as the books went on the less and less I would enjoy what I was reading or eventually I would get burnt out on the setting / characters but that is sooo not the case! Every time I open my kindle to these books, I am just as in love if not more than I was with the last bok.

There is so much going on in this book !SO MUCH! but Willow wrote it in a way that you are able to enjoy, not feel overwhelmed and struggle with the events taking place. There is angst, tension, FORBIDDEN LOVE!, and an age gap, fully developed characters, and more feelings that you don't even see coming.

As always, Willow Aster's world building and plot driven stories never cease to amaze me. Her ability to take these elements and write them into something that I enjoy is much appreciated. Every time I read another one of Willow’s books in this series I’m continuously in awe of her talent.

Ruin by Willow Aster is book three in her series of stand-alones, Kingdom of Sins. The previous books are Downfall and Exposed.
Ruin is Ava and Gentry's forbidden romance story. I will not spoiler here, only so much, the storyline is a hot one- fans herself.
I loved the characters from the start. The writing is great and I connected easily with the characters.

Being new to Willow Aster’s books I found myself quickly falling into this story of forbidden love among other things. While being the third book in the Kingdoms of Sin series, I found it easy to read and had no problem picking up on the interconnected aspects of the characters. I will, however, read books one and two in order to fully appreciate the whole aspect of this series as it unfolds. There were twists I didn’t see coming and found myself enthralled to the point of absorbing it all in one day!

This was an incredible read. The story involves a student-teacher relationship between Gentry and Ava. I got to say that this book was well-written, and I loved every minute of it. Gentry is the teacher and hero of the story. I loved his character. I thought he was sexy, smart, and protective. I thought it was sweet how long he tried to resist Ava. Ava was a fantastic character. I loved her attitude, and she was my type of heroine. She was snarky, and witty. I loved everything about her. She is a student, and she really likes to draw. When they met first, it was at a wedding, but the chemistry was amazing right from the start. As the story progressed, their romance and chemistry just increased. I am really glad that I read this book. I am looking forward to read more books by Willow Aster. Overall, an amazing read.

Ruin is book 3 in “The Kingdoms of Sin” series by Willow Aster. I was pulled in to the series from Downfall (book 1), but I have to say that hands down Ruin has to be my favorite so far. The way that Willow wrote their story is amazing. The emotion, the chemistry, the craziness of their lives had me not wanting to put the book down and I finished it in less than 1 day 

Ava is Eden’s little sister (book 1). She never wanted to be like her sister the Queen or her brother the King. She never wanted the Royal life. She wasn’t interested, she wanted to live her life out of the spot light. So she moved to her brother-in-law’s country and finished her last year of high school as normal as she could. Her plan was to finish school and travel the world. What her plans did not include was meeting the man of her dreams a few months before school started. They only kissed but just that one kiss stopped time, she knew he had ruined her for anyone else. She knew that she had to run into him again to see where things with them. There was no way she was going to give up on them trying things out, no matter how much he was pushing her away.

Gentry is Elias’ best friend (book 2). When he met Ava for the first time he was a goner. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. She took his breath away. The pale skin, the color tattoos, her gorgeous eyes, but who was she? He met her at his best friend’s wedding and never saw her again until she walked into his class room. He knew he had to stay away and that she was off limits but his heart and body were saying other things. He tried so hard but she was everywhere. He was losing the battle fast, but when his world was turned upside down by his father, he didn’t know if he can be the person she wanted and needed.

Could she show him that they were made for each other? Could he let go of his insecurities and be the man she deserves? Don’t want to give too much away but open your eyes and see what is standing right in front of you before she/he is taken away from you. This story had my hear racing and doing all sorts of things. The books in this series can be read as standalone, but I recommend reading them in order. I give this book 5 stars and definitely would recommend it.

Received this ARC for my honest review and opinion.

I definitely didn't expect much as I didn't love the last book but I was pleasantly surprised. We only saw little pieces of Ava through the two previous books. Aside from veing Eden and Jadon's little sister anyway. I never actually thought about her getting the next book to be honest. Here we also have a new name in Gentry. This was a surprise student ans teacher trope. While Ava is all carefree and rebellious she felt their connection. She isn't too bothered by the forbidden aspect too. Gentry needs his job so he tries as he must to avoid Ava. She's not making it easy though. Being near each other is unavoidable seeing as Gentry is friends with Elias, Ava is in Niaps for her senior year living with the Catano's.

Gentry has a secret background he only found out and for me that made this more exciting. I lost some of the forbidden age or student teacher thing when they sort of gave in to their feelings. It doesn't mean they are established or anything just it pretty obvious. Ava can't help it and Gentry can't stop thinking of her. I think the biggest issue will be the approval of the Ava's guardians so to speak and her whole issue with having the spotlight of royalty. I'm sure others will have issues with the age and all that.

I liked Ava more than the previous heroine. She maybe outspoken, rebellious in a way but she's not bratty about it. She goes for what she wants and it makes her forward, but she has good sense about her most of the time. It took a while to develop Ava and Gentry more than the lust factor. I wasn't expecting the twist too! We had hints of something going on and it's a big lead up to Jadon's story. That whole part was weird. But Ava showed she was smart and strong when all was uncertain. Plus Gentry and his past was interesting not expected as well. I want to see how this all wraps up.

~ 4 Ruining Stars ~

Wow….I totally did expect this book!! I don’t really know what I was expecting going into Ava’s story, but nothing could’ve prepared me for what we got!!

This book was so good. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. This was a taboo/forbidden age gap romance, but it was also a romantic suspense story. If you have read any of the other books in this series then you know this world we are in with these characters is twisted one and will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Ruin is the third book in this series and yes each book is a standalone novel and about a new couple each time, but I think these books should be read in order. Each couples storyline is complete in the end, but the secondary storyline is continuing in each book. For example, there are some things in this book that were left open and I believe that the answers we are hoping to get are given in Jadon’s book.

This story was told in Dual POV and thought the flow and pace of the story was great. This is filled with angst, drama and a romance you can’t help but root for. I’d consider this a slow burn romance. There are some hills and obstacles that Ava and Gentry need to hurdle over to get to their HEA. I don’t want to say any more than that, because I don’t want to spoil this story.

If you are a fan of a royal romance story, then you need to pick this one up. I thought it was a great royal storyline but with a twist. This isn’t like your normal royal romance. This book was so much more!!!

I enjoyed reading more about Luka, Eden, Elias and Mara in this book. I also liked seeing more of Jadon and I look forward to reading his book. Although I will be sad when he’s book is released as it is the last of this series.

If you are looking for a taboo/forbidden romance with an age gap, this is one you will want to read. The suspenseful aspect will just having you turning the pages that much faster. And it will leave you wanting MORE!!!!!

Wow! Just wow! This series has been amazing and I have loved every single book. Though each book is a standalone about different couples, they do build upon each other. In Ruin by Willow Aster, we get Ava and Gentry’s story and let me just tell you, hold on to your seats! This forbidden romance had me turning the pages quickly and yet wanting it to never end! When they meet, the sparks fly, but there is an age gap he cannot ignore. And yet he cannot stay away either. When danger looms, all bets are off. I loved Ava and Gentry so much! The story was full of angst, steamy, suspenseful and full of surprises.

Willow has started a series that I think I could keep reading as long as she wanted to keep it going. This is a rare thing for me. I'm the girl who is usually yelling give us something new but Willow has me hooked with this. Maybe it's because with every book it does feel like she's giving us something new even when the stories in each book are woven together. We get new main characters with their own issues that seem to fall into a huge puzzle that we're just waiting to put together.

Ruin captured me from the beginning. Ava was a breath of fresh air when compared to the other royals we have read about and I really adored Gentry. This may be my favorite story in this series yet although I have a feeling the fourth and last book may just rock our worlds when the whole story comes together.

steamy,  sweet, erotic beautiful romantic story.
Each book in the series portrays a different couple.
Each character has its own detailed description of how the characters think and feel.
A mission
A calling
Anticipation
Protection
Confusing and conflicted affection
Emotional drama
But always a happily ever after

I adored this book! Ava and Gentry didn’t know much about the other the night they met but even after they went there separate ways after neither could really forget about the other until they meet again and he wants as much distance as possible but she isn’t having any of it. Ava and Gentry’s story was endearing and there chemistry was explosive

I am so smitten with this series. And I absolutely adore Ava. Wise pass her years. Knows what she wants and goes after it. Gentry ***swoons*** he is all the things. Smart, handsome, and level headed. I love that there are still some unanswered questions after this conclusion. I’m excited to see what happens next.

This was a good read. Ava and Gentry meet at a wedding. However, on the first day of school Ava learns that he is her teacher. He tries to forget her but can't. Then she is taken and then everything becomes complicated. Thankfully in the end everything works out and they get their happy ending.

Ruin is my favorite in the series so far. You don’t really have to read the others but it will help to understand the characters more. This is Ava’s story and I absolutely loved it. It’s got that touch of forbidden story so it grabs you right away. Her love interest is Gentry and boy is he a great character. Not only is this a forbidden romance it’s also gritty, mysterious with a bit of excitement. It kept me entertained and I was totally engrossed in the story. It’s a definite must read.

Ruin, Kingdoms of Sin #3, is, not surprisingly, another 5 Star book by Willow Aster.

While you can technically read each book as a stand-alone, I whole heartedly recommend starting with book #1; main characters from each book make appearances in all of the books and it helps to know how they all relate to each other and how they all fit in to the larger story line.

‘Ruin’ features Ava, sister of Eden and Jadon - introduced in book #1, and Gentry, friend of Elias - whose story is the focus of book #2. Ruin begins where book #2 ended, at Mara and Elias’ wedding reception; this is where Ava and Gentry meet for the first time. There is an immediate attraction, definite fireworks, and a life altering kiss to end the evening.

Ava and Gentry don’t see each other again for 3 months, and when they meet again it is completely unexpected! Unfortunately, it is not a happy reunion as they immediately realize that any dream of having a future together would be impossible; being together would ‘ruin’ them both.

But wait...there’s so much more to this story....very unexpected plot lines that added more depth to the story, and also set the stage for Jadon’s story in book #4, the final book (not yet released). I can not wait for the next book now!

Willow Aster has become one of my favorite authors...her story telling and character building abilities are incredible! Ruin is an amazing book, in an amazing series, that you just can’t pass up!

5 star rating for sure!!!!

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Willow Aster’s Kingdoms of Sin series offers us a world of royalty. Undergirding each standalone in this series is a larger mystery. There is something afoot in each of her books that the hero and heroine of that book must contend with. It’s the tie that binds each of them together. Can they be read as total standalones? Yes. However, for the breadth of the experience, you should read them all. It will make connections in ways that show Aster’s ability to world-build.

Now, Ruin, her newest book, to date, ties with Downfall as my favorite. Even then, I prefer Ruin over Downfall. I think first books in series introduce a new series, hence making them the best. This isn’t always the case, but it’s usually the situation with me. Until now. Ruin offers a story that both grabs your attention and titillates you in equal measure. Why should you read Ruin?

Ava. Singlehandedly, Ava is my favorite character in the series of standalones thus far. Eden and Elias are the pushovers, to a certain degree, in Downfall and Exposed while Luka and Mara are emotionally dramatic in ways that undermine the romance of their stories. Eventually, they develop emotional maturity, and their relationships become more pleasurable to read. However, until that moment, from a reading standpoint, it can be frustrating. In my opinion, as the youngest character in the series, Ava has the greatest sense of self. Honestly, I struggle with the idea that she is a 17/18 year old because she is the most mature of any of the characters. In the first two books, characters vacillated back and forth between their feelings. Ava does give Gentry chances to accept their attraction and interest; however, she doesn’t chase him. She won’t push herself on Gentry. She knows her self and expects more. In fact, she is exponentially more emotionally mature than Gentry who is 7 or 8 years older in chronological age. She is the first character whom I have truly liked in this series and wanted more of her story.

The story itself takes an interesting turn that keeps you reading. It’s compelling how Aster introduces more of the underlying story of the kingdoms. In this book, she comes up with an interesting plot twist that seems fairly “out there.” Yet, Aster crafts it in such a way that you can suspend your disbelief. I did have some doubts about Ava’s physical abilities with the plot twist, some inconsistencies. However, they are minute and really quite inconsequential. Again, this story seemed the most compelling of the three books.

Gentry’s emotional development. In Ruin, Gentry reads like the most frustrating character. He, like Luka, Mara, and Elias of the first two books, can’t seem to make up his mind about his interest in Ava. To be fair, this book is an age-gap/forbidden story. Yet, he seems indecisive for too much of the story. When he finally accepts his attraction and want for Ava, the emotional depth of the story heightens, and it makes for a better read. The Gentry at the end of the book is 100 times better than the Gentry in the first and middle of the book. Keep that in mind as you begin this book. There is a big payoff at the end.

While Ruin is my favorite story to date in the Kingdoms of Sin series, there are still some areas where I think Aster could revise. The narrative has an inconsistent flow at times: sometimes, it moves quickly through the action while at other times, it slows to a “snail’s pace.” In that space, I think Aster could have revised more. I’m hoping when we read Jadon’s story in the forthcoming, Pride, the pacing of the story will be more consistent, and the details balanced to the story. Ruin’s story reminds us that love shouldn’t have boundaries on it. Yes, Gentry and Ava have a large age difference, but age is simply a construct, as Willow Aster shows us. When one’s heart is kindled into a blazing fire by another, if both of them are adults, that age difference shouldn’t matter. Aster makes it clear that Gentry and Ava are soulmates, and their epilogue exemplifies a love bigger than a universe.

If you've been following Willow Aster's Kingdoms of Sin series, then you've seen the hints that Ava, the Aria Stark of Farrow, will fall for the older Gentry. In this book, Aster tells you their story, and it is every bit as angsty and dangerous as you expect--more so, even.

Ava pushes back against her birthright. She may love her siblings--her older brother is the king, her sister is queen of a kingdom she married into--but she wants nothing to do with royal status. She likes tattoos and dying colorful streaks in her hair. You know that her attraction to Gentry will be as intense as her rebellious nature.

Unfortunately, Gentry's age (not to mention her own) isn't the only thing that makes their relationship taboo. The other elements that stand between them give them even more things to fight against. Sometimes that includes struggling with their desires for each other; I think those were some of my favorite scenes, particularly where Gentry is concerned.

I liked how Willow Aster shows you that a girl of Ava's age can be more mature than those decades older than she is. Ava came into this world an old soul, and it shows. Gentry, on the other hand, has a youthfulness to him that makes him quite attractive (read: HOT!).

There is a subplot involving Ava that takes quite the turn. I'd love to know what you think of it, so please hit up the comments and let me know. I wasn't always sure I bought into it, nor was I sure I bought its resolution. But I was consistently entertained.

I can't wait for the next installment in this inter-connected series of stand-alones. The focus will be on Jadon, Ava's brother, and he's intrigued me from the start.

Ruin by Willow Aster mixed suspenseful royal romance with forbidden thrill of age gap and taboo romance. It is full of angsty, adrenaline fuelled and sexy emotions.

Ava is not a typical princess. She hates everything that comes with the tag. The media attention. The protocol. The rules. She always do what she feels like. Be it the colourful tattoes on her arm. Be it falling for her sexy teacher. Gentry knows he should stay away from Ava as she is so far out of his league. Even if he ignores their age gap and ethical dilemma, their social standards are different. But there is a big secret about his true identity. And when Ava is in danger, he has no option but go all out to save her.

The chemistry between Ava and Gentry started beautifully. A lot of push and pull. A lot of angsty emotions. A lot of tension and resistance. They have nuclear hot chemistry. But then the story moved on to Ava's danger and the thriller like parts. And I missed the romance somehow. Yes the mystery part is very well written too. But I wished to see more of Gentry and Ava's love story. I loved Ava's fierce character like I loved Gentry's sweet and noble character. He is not exactly a dominating or arrogant man. But there is something enticing about his protectiveness and caring attitude.

Ruin by Willow Aster is a bumpy and eventful ride of romance, passion and suspense. An engaging royal romance from Willow Aster.
