Emerge Aotearoa – Mobile Support Worker Deaf Mental Health.

As a Support Worker in our Deaf Mental Health Service, your role is to support deaf clients within the community. You will have a caseload of up to 10 clients geographically located anywhere between far North and up to Hamilton, requiring you to be able to travel for work and support and liaise with families as well as the clinical teams in a professional manner.
As sign language is the first language of our clients, you will need to be fluent in New Zealand Sign Language and be comfortable working with interpreters.
In this role you will join clients on their recovery journeys while also providing a safe environment a safe environment to support them with their goals and daily tasks. The Positive Pathway Programme is run out of Lambie Drive in Manukau and runs for 16 weeks.
