The Board and Staff at Regional Development Australia Eyre Peninsula wish to pass on condolences to the Sarin family and friends on the recent passing of Sime (Sam) Sarin AM.
A community builder and supporter, Sam’s contribution to the fishing industry, Port Lincoln and the region as a whole, was tremendous. His vision, drive and work ethic is acknowledged and appreciated by all those who knew him. A successful businessman and an icon of Port Lincoln.
Many of Sam’s employees chose to honour him on the day of his funeral. They were all invited to eat, drink and celebrate Sam’s life at the Port Lincoln Hotel, however many chose to mark their respect by staying aboard the company’s fleet and standing watch til sunset, following which flares were let off to exhibit a fitting final tribute.
RIP Sam.
