Join the library

This service is available to people who have not already joined the library. To register children and young people under 16 you must supply guarantor details for membership to be completed. Online registration requires you to supply an email address.

As part of library membership we can provide routine email messages to help you manage your account/the account for which you are a guarantor. These are pre-overdue emails, overdue notifications, reservation notifications and password reset emails. There may also be occasions when library staff may need to contact you directly about your account/the account for which you are a guarantor. You can amend your contact preferences at any time by logging in to your account.

To complete your registration you will need to visit a Swindon library to show ID and collect your library card. You will also need to do this to complete the registration for any accounts for which you a guarantor. ID should include your name and current address.
