We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the current closure of West Swindon Library. We know many library users are affected and all efforts are being made to reopen as soon as we are able. However while a lot of work has already been done, there is still much to do.

The library was the worst-affected area of the Link Centre building, with floodwater damage throughout. All staff and public areas required extensive cleaning and decontamination.

The library space has now been dried out and new carpet laid.

Temporary power outlets have now been connected to run on mains power.

All electrical equipment is being checked and safety-tested. 

A number of building issued are in progress, to ensure the building will be safe and ready for public use.

You will not be fined for any overdue books borrowed from West Swindon library. If fines do show on your account they will be removed.
