Tour Update 

Our fall tour schedule is full and the rest of the year is quickly filling up. We wanted to let you know where we'll be in the coming months so we can connect with you while we're in town.  (These are just the Sunday dates, but in most cases, we'll be in each location longer).

September

Family Update

We have decided to call Wausau, WI our home base for this year.  It's been a difficult decision, but in Wausau, we are closer to family and it seems like this will be a great central location from which to set out on tour.  In addition, since we have started our medical care in this area, we feel it best to continue receiving care from the same providers and in the same network.

Thank you for praying for Jude's medical concerns.  He was recently cleared and determined to be in good health.  

Please continue to pray for Simon.  He has had several appointments with specialists this past month.  These concerns are not related to the emergency surgery he had in June. From that ordeal, he has been completely healed! 

Simon has seen a series of specialists in July, and it seems like with every appointment we complete, we are referred to someone new.  So, we have several more appointments in the coming weeks and into the fall.  

Pray for Simon's endurance in all of this - he's tired of being poked and reviewed over and over again.  Pray also that the doctors would be able to give a clear diagnosis and help us determine a path forward. 

In all things, we trust the Lord for his timing in these matters, bringing us to the U.S. for this year, and directing our steps as we navigate this unexpected medical journey.
 

Prayer and Praises

  • Praise: Our training in July was good (despite being online).  We feel better prepared for tour.
  • Praise: We had a lovely time in Plymouth, WI in July, reconnecting with our church family there.   
  • Praise: Many of our medical concerns have been cleared or treated.
  • Praise: We have a place to live in Wausau, WI and will move in a couple weeks.  We're thankful that we can settle in before school starts
  • Praise: Simon and Jude were able to participate in their first youth group event since being back - an outdoor paintball game.
  • Praise: We have found a home school group in Wausau to attend this year.
  • Prayer: Simon's continued medical concerns
  • Prayer: Smooth transition to Wausau and good connections there - church, home school community, neighborhood, etc. 
  • Prayer:  We are looking for a second vehicle.

We are always awed and amazed at the ways God moves His people to generous giving.  In this season of unknowns and difficulties, we are all the more grateful for His care for us and other Alliance Workers worldwide!  Thank you!

A Few Needs

Several people have asked if they can help us get settled in our own house.  We do not have very many needs at this time, but here are few things we are looking for:
  1. A microscope.  Do you happen to have a microscope sitting around your house?  Simon and Jude will be taking Biology in school this year and our microscope is in Senegal.  Please let me know if you have one we could borrow for the year.
  2. A push lawn mower.  We will have to mow a small lawn at our new house, so we're looking to borrow a push mower until June 2021.
