Rumor Going 'Round

Rate this book
When rumors start circling,
Do you walk the other way?
Or give them something to talk about?

She was the one I always secretly wanted
But it was never meant to be,
I landed myself in the friend zone.

He was my high-school crush,
Who grew up into the single sexy dad,
Putting his life on the line with every fire he fought.

One spin around the dance floor has our friends talking,
Wondering if we could get any closer.

We blew the rumors off until one day, we really gave them something to talk about.

5 star review of Rumor Going ’Round (Lyrics and Love #3) by Samantha Lind
Samantha Lind is a relatively new author to me and why that is I have absolutely no idea. Rumor Going ‘Round was a well written story that ticked the boxes for me. This was a beautifully written story that had me riveted from start to finish.
I fell hard and fast for Tucker, he was totally swoon worthy and I loved Lindsey. They have been friends since they were children and the friends to lovers genre is one that I enjoy. Lindsey has always had a crush on single dad and firefighter Tucker. Their support and growing love for one another made this a heart warming story that I did not want to end.
Tucker’s daughter Paisley nearly stole the book, she was such a cutie and I loved the dynamic as Tucker and Lindsey moved from friends to lovers. This was a sweet, romantic story of love and second chances which left me with a smile on my face.

This was a laid back story with no drama, no angst, just good old fashioned romance. Lindsay and Tucker have known each other forever, but recently they’ve really begun to notice each other. Tucker slowly begins to take a step here and there to bring himself into a new orbit with Lindsay and soon they are a thing.

Dear friends, put the words 'firemen calendar' in your search bar and enjoy.

I was expecting this to be heavily based around a small town community’s ability to gossip due to something they think they see, and while that really was not the case, it was still super cute. The characters were all fun, cheeky, smexy and engaging. Lindsay and Tucker set the pages on fire as their relationship grows and watching both of them with Tucker’s daughter was delightful.

With a fast pace I read this in a few hours. It’s perfect when you want a romance that is completely free from any type of crisis and filled with good friends and family.

Samatha Lind is a fairly new author to me and with every book I pick I promise myself I will read more from this very talented author, well this time it’s going to happen because Rumor Going Around was a book that touched me on so many levels and I fell hook, line and sinker for Tucker.....
Tucker and Lindsay have been friends all their life, they grew up together and if Lindsay is honest with herself she will admit to hiding feelings for this swoon worthy, single dad firefighter. The problem is both of them are scared to cross the line because their friendship is too important but sometimes our heart has to win and we sometimes need to take a giant leap and trust the person we love will catch us before we fall.
This is a story that draws you in and doesn’t let you go until you have read the final word, it’s a beautifully written friends to lovers romance with an adorable child named Paisley who for me delivered so many classic one liners that only a child does well. Rumor Going Around is book 3 in the Lyrics and Love Series but this is a series of stand-alone’s and I will certainly be picking up the previous two books as soon as time permits.

Rumor Going Round is a beautifully written childhood friends to lovers romance story that will warm your heart and satisfy your reading soul.
Tucker and Lindsay have been friends since childhood, and while Lindsay has had a crush on Tucker since High School, he has never shown any signs of feeling the same.
Until...... One Night.... One Dance....... Changes Everything!!!
Riddled with love, humour, sizzling chemistry, swoon worthy moments, and loveable characters including Tucker's sassy and adorable daughter Paisley, Tucker and Lindsay's story is one you will simply want to devour.
It will warm your heart, have you laughing out, and leave you with a huge smile on your face.
A truly beautiful romance story!!!

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Rumor Going 'Round the third book in the Lyrics and Love Series by author Samantha Lind, of who I am a huge fan and is pretty much an auto buy author for me. I loved the first two books in the series - Marry Me and Drunk Girl, and this one was also one I loved. The books are not connected to each other but rather to songs and this one is the Lee Brice's song.

In this story we meet Lindsay and Tucker, who live in a small southern town and have known each other forever. They are friends and they share friends and fun nights out on the town. Tucker is also a single dad to an adorable little girl who he had with a friends with benefits friend who is now married to another guy. So there are no ex drama in this story.

The two really like each other and want more and so finally Tucker asks Linds out and they start getting to know each other romantically. It was a wonderful story with family and friends and finding love with a friend who you grew up with and I loved the southern backdrop of a small town and that this story takes place around the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

This story is loosely connected to the authors other series as Lindsay is cousin to Reese who is married to Austin from the Indianapolis Eagles series book 5, Against the Boards. If you love Reese and Austin, they visit during the holidays in this story.

When friends Tucker and Lindsay share a dance one night, something in the air between them shifts, and a rumor is born in their small town. Will they chance moving their friendship into something more intimate?

This is a really, really low key, angst free simple friends to lovers romance, and I appreciated that about it. There's no over the top drama, no psycho exes, no broken psyches, just two really likable people who finally start to see each other as more than simply friends. Lindsay and Tucker are sweet and sexy together and I really enjoyed reading as they fell in love.

Rumour Going 'Round the third book in the Lyrics and Love Series is another smash hit for Samantha Lind. I loved the first two books in the series - Marry Me and Drunk Girl but Lindsey and Tucker just blow me away - it is a brilliantly Swoon Worthy book that will leave you with a big satisfied smile on your face. If you are a lover of books by Kaylee Ryan and Lacey Black then this series will be right up your street.

Tucker and Lindsay have been friends since they were kids - growing up in a small town everyone knows everyone else. Tucker is a fire fighter who has a 5 year daughter Paisley - it wasn't planned but now 5 years later Paisley's mum is now remarried and the two co-parent really well. Lindsay is an ER nurse and although she has had a crush on Tucker since since high school Tucker has never shown any indication of wanting more!

All that is about change in this swoon worthy hot between the sheets must read Ms Lind, this is one book you don't want to miss
'We're like fire and ice. I'm attracted to his flame, but the moment our skin makes contact, it's like ice, but in a very good way!"

And if you haven't read it download Samantha's Ice Hockey Series 'Indianapolis Eagles' Just Say Yes now you wont be disappointed.

Lindsey is firmly in the friend zone despite crushing on Tucker since school and it doesn't look like its about to change. Until the rumors start and Tucker decides to give everyone something to really talk about. A super fun, sweet friends to lovers romance.

SQUEEEEEEE! I just love the way Samantha Lind's books always leave me feeling! Rumor Going 'Round filled my heart up with all the warm and fuzzy feelings and swept me up in such feel good heartwarming world. If you love a good single dad, small town, friends to lovers read as much as I do this book is an absolute must read.
Tucker is the sweetest of men. A fantastic dad, a fireman, and a complete gentleman. It didn't take long for him to completely sweep me off my feet. I tried to be jealous of Lindsay, but alas, I could not because she's exactly the type of woman Tucker deserves. These two are the cutest of cute and the sweetest of sweet.

I always try to do honest reviews and that carry’s with this one. I have been obsessed with the latest version of Poldark starring Aidan Turner and Emily Tomlinson. And I say obsessed to the point I almost worry about me. So when I saw the cover of this book and the hero reminded me of Mr. Turner, that was it. I didn’t read what it was about; I didnt care what it was about, I was at my most shallow and the story didn’t matter. It was all about the cover. I’m often influenced by the cover of a book and why I loathe the newest trend of cartoon covers. When looking for a new book to get, I pass right by the cartoon ones. This is me at my very shallowest. There. I’ve confessed it. And while I wouldn’t have minded if the book was bad since it was all bout the cover, I was quite pleased that I did enjoy the book.

Tucker is our hero. He’s a firefighter and co-parenting his young daughter with her mother. Though they were never really together, in a refreshing turn of events, they get along well and put their daughter first.
Lindsay is our heroine and she is an ER nurse. Lindsay and Tucker have known each other for years and hung out in the same circles. They have each crushed on each other but never acted on the unspoken attraction.

This is a simple book about a growing romance between two people. There is no angst and that was just fine with me. With the busy time of the holidays, reading something intense wasn’t what I was looking for. This was my final read of 2021 and it fit me perfectly. Both Tucker and Lindsay are good decent people with no skeletons in their closets. They have good friends who look out for them and Tucker is a great dad to Paisley, his daughter who is adorable. When he introduces Lindsay and Paisley to each other, they bond and no jealousy on Paisleys part that she now has to share her daddy.

This was a simple, quick, light romance that hit the right spot and has a great cover. Yep, a really great cover.

I loved Tucker. He was so sweet, responsible, loyal, understanding, & caring. I loved his daughter Paisley. She was so unbelievably cute. It was beyond refreshing to see the relationship between Tucker & Lily. I love when parents even though they aren’t together can make things work for their kid. It made the book even more enjoyable for me.

Lindsey & Tucker were so sweet together. Small town romance at its finest. Seeing their relationship grow from friends to something more made for such an enjoyable read.

Rumors Goin Round is seriously such a sexy, sweet, sweep you off your feet love story!

Tucker and Lindsay are such lovely, relatable characters. Add in the sassy little spitfire Paisley and you have the foundation of a beautiful story!

Samantha always gives readers exactly what they are wanting with a romance story. I love that this is part of a new series, I can not wait to find out what she is working on next!

'We're like fire and ice. I'm attracted to his flame, but the moment our skin makes contact, it's like ice, but in a very good way!"

Single dad romance… Hell Yes please 😊 I love it ♥

Tucker and Lindsay were friends since they were kids. And living in a small town everyone knows everyone. Now Tucker is a fire fighter with a little girl named Paisley and Lindsay is an ER nurse and Lindsay has had feelings for Tucker since high school, but the problem is that both of them sort of have feelings for each other but also doesn’t want to cross that line as their friendship means too much to both of them.

But what the heart wants the heart wants. So what can they do. Well take that leap and see what fate has in store for them? Or stay friends and always wonder what could have been?
I love books with single parents (no clue why just do) and this one was just too sweet for words. It is definitely a sweet romantic friends to lovers romance that will have you wanting more at the end 😊

Lindsay and Tucker have known each other their entire lives. She had a secret crush on him all through school and as a single Dad she finds him just as hot. Tucker puts out fires for a living but can’t seem to extinguish the torch he carries for Lindsay. Will they give into the small town rumors going round and see what they can be together?

This is such a fun, sweet series. I have enjoyed the music inspiration and some sweet, easy love stories. Loved that Paisley plays a prominent part of the story and isn’t sidelined for her Dad’s budding relationship. Also that Tucker and Lilly truly parent together with what is best for the child no matter what their past. This an easy, make you feel good kind of story. Looking forward to checking out more of Lind’s books.

Rumor Going ‘Round is a sweet and sexy romp that will warm the reader’s heart. Tucker and Lindsay have been friends since childhood and Lindsay has had a crush on Tucker for years. When Tucker begins showing interest in her, their relationship takes an unexpected but welcome turn.

Both Tucker and Lindsay are great characters. They are full of life, love, and are both extremely genuine. They care about their friends and family and have huge hearts. Tucker is a single dad and he’s a swoonworthy father.

Their romance is real and relatable! The chemistry between them is playful and full of steam.

I always know that Samantha Lind will give me a romance that’s easy to read and brings smile to my lips. This low on angst and delightfully sweet story is a perfect example.

What an amazing story that will have you swooning for Tucker, and loving Lindsay, and let's not forget Tucker's adorable daughter Paisley! This story was so good I couldn't put it down! 5 stars for this one!
Here we have Lindsay, a nurse in the ER, works hard but has yet to find love. One night she's out with her bestie and meets up with Tucker, a firefighter and co raising his daughter Paisley, (who you will fall in love with) and he suddenly see's her in a new light, as does she. They've known each other forever, but something happens on that dance floor that night.

This is the third book I’ve read from this series and it has been my absolute favorite. I love everything about Tucker and Lindsay. I mean you can’t go wrong with a hot fire fighter who just so happens to be the most amazing dad to his daughter, and to top it all off he has all the makings of the sweetest alpha man you could ever want.

This really is a friends to lovers with a whole lot of heart, heat and fun. You will love the characters and the story. I really love the idea that each of these books is based on a song or song lyrics, makes it a lot of fun.

I have to say, I've enjoyed everything I've read by this author, and this book is definitely not an exception to that! This book is a fast paced, slow burn romance (total oxymoron, right?!?) But still, a childhood friendship becomes more as adults. Definitely not what I was expecting, but everything I love about romance!

Tucker is happy with his life. He has a job as a firefighter that he absolutely loves. And he is a single dad, to the cutest little girl ever! But even his surprise fatherhood led to a co-parenting relationship that is perfect for his child. But now, feelings that he's put on the back burner, for a friend from childhood, have come to the forefront and can't be denied any longer!

Lindsay has had her eye on Tucker for a while. She knows she could have big feelings for him, but doesn't think it can go anywhere. Small towns, everyone knows everything about everybody, and all that. But when Tucker makes his mind up to go for it, well, slow goes out the door!

This book was fun, sweet, and very swoony! Definitely one that will make you want more! I couldn't get enough of these characters, and their steamy connection. It's definitely one that will make it to my re-read list!

What a great story! I loved the connection/chemistry Tucker and Lindsay had going between them. Being friends for years, both attracted to the other but neither doing anything about it, made for a must read book. Tucker is a single dad, fireman, and sweet as can be. Linsday is an E.R. nurse, gorgeous, funny, smart and sweet. They are perfect for each other. I also loved little Paisley! She was so stinking cute.

Music is a big part of my life and I applaud Samantha Lind for taking beautiful songs and using them to create the wonderful books in her “ Love and Lyrics” series. All songwriters are poets, and from their words she has given us characters that are realistic, likeable and full of compassion.

Tucker is a true southern gentleman and he loves his daughter, his family, and being a firefighter. He is an amazing father and Ms. Lind has perfectly captured the father-daughter relationship with witty dialogue throughout the book. Paisley is adorable and I love her sassy attitude and how it drives him crazy. Tucker is funny, thoughtful and the perfect guy for Lindsay.

There was a lot of humor throughout the book to go along with their sweet and tender romance. I am glad they took the time to really know each before becoming too serious, because Tucker respected Lindsay enough to wait until the time was right. “Rumor Going ‘Round” is a positive, happy and uplifting book which is something we all need right now. I am so glad they adopted a dog from a foster family for Paisley's birthday present. There are always sweet dogs that need a forever home and Buckley was the perfect dog for little Paisley. Tucker and Lindsay started out as friends but when love took over they embraced it with passion, excitement and joy for the future.

This was a very cute, low angsty love story!

Tucker and Lindsay have known each other throughout their lives, but the timing was never right. I love how these two come together and how they blend their lives together. Tucker is such a sweet single dad and I love his relationship with his daughter. The chemistry and love is palpable between these two, and I can’t wait for more in this series!

I'm not quite sure why I don't read more friends to lovers books because I tend to enjoy them. I guess it's because they don't always hit right, but Samantha Lind totally knocked it out of the park. Tucker is a yummy firefighter & single father who's close friends with Lindsay, as they grew up together. She's carrying a secret torch for him, but trying to get her to admit to it is a lesson in patience. See, they're perfect for each other but both have been too scared to cross that line since they don't want to lose the friendship, but the heart wants what the heart wants. And it doesn't hurt that they have crazy chemistry. I found myself fully engaged in their story from the jump, and I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough as I needed them to take a chance on each other for all of us. So, do they actually make the leap of faith?! You know what to do to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Rumor Going 'Round is book three in the Lyrics and Love series. Each book can be read as a standalone if you choose; however, if you love Country music and reading you will want to read them all. This small town makes us city people want to live in a small town. Tucker and Lindsay grew up together and are friends, but one dance alters their friendship. Do they leave the inquiring minds wondering why they still are dancing when the music ends or do they explore the feelings they are hiding and see where this dance leads them? Tucker is not only a firefighter, but an awesome single dad. Not many would be able to co-parent the way they do and this has your heart melting. Lindsay is an ER nurse and the bond she picks up with Paisley is also heartfelt. You will see that it was meant for little Paisley to come into Tucker's life before giving Lindsay a shot. I love the connection between these characters including the secondary characters and getting a special appearance from someone was nice if you read her other books. Love the series and am always listening to the country songs trying to figure out which song would best fit into this series. I cannot wait for what comes next in this series and her other works in the making.

I always enjoy Samantha’s books and this one was no exception! Rumor going round is a sweet story about two people that have known each other almost their whole lives and finally give in and see what can happen. Tucker is a single dad firefighter and Lindsey is a nurse. While their schedules don’t always match up, when they do come together, there is so much love and heat between the two of them. Also love little Paisley, Tucker’s daughter and all her sass!

This is a great feel good book with low angst that has you falling in love with the characters as fast as they fall in love! Highly recommend!!

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This was a cute novel. I loved seeing Tucker and Lindsay get to know each other and see the attraction between them grow stronger and stronger. Both of these characters are down to earth and very drama free, which I enjoyed.

I also loved that they are both in a profession that helps others. I'm sure with being an ER nurse and a firefighter, the inconsistency of their schedule could get a bit frustrating and hectic, but they made time for each other no matter what.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this book!

A beautiful friends to lovers romance. I was hooked from the beginning with this book. Tucker is sweet, sexy & father. He isn’t a single father, he coparents with his daughter’s mom. This story was just perfect, not too sweet, but not angst or drama. Sometimes a girl is in the mood for crazy drama & others just the perfect blend of well written characters with chemistry is all you need. Lindsay is a nice girl, with a crush that she’s had since high school. One night makes her crush come back alive. This book will have you falling in love with not just them, but all of the characters. I just loved everything about this book; the swooniness of Tucker, the way him & Lilly coparent & the beautifully written story.

I recommend this book. Told in multiple POV.
