Blend of three native varieties shows great charm, offering soft floral and lightly scented red-berry character with gentle spritz and refreshingly light, fruity finish. Ideal as an aperitif.
Vibrant and sleek with a nice tension between the fruit and acidity. Crisp mouth-watering crunchy lime and a nice balance and intensity make this a delicious and versatile food wine.
This is Bachelder’s “regular” cuvée and it falls in line with Bachelder’s style, nothing out of order, a deft touch with oak and always a thought-provoking, complex wine. Look for plenty of minerality, apple and pear fruit with a touch of lemon and spice. It’s well rounded on the palate with juicy fruits and toasted spice notes but retains its poise and gracefulness through the long finish.
Quintessential Chilean expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, bringing out all the aromatic intensity of piquant blackcurrant, green herb and bell pepper. In the mouth, luscious ripe blackberry and blackcurrant fruit with mint and dark chocolate sub-themes. Full bodied, with velvety texture, well calibrated acidity and tannic structure.
This is a ripe and bold Gris that sees 30% of the fruit barrel-fermented and aged for 3 months. The nose shows peach cobbler, apple, spice and citrus notes. In the mouth, this is a full, fleshy offering with ripe apple, tropical fruits and creamy vanilla and nutmeg spices. On the soft side, but oh, so delicious.
It’s not often I write, “Buy this wine by the case,” but this rosé will surprise you for its price and quality. A blend of Grenache with Viognier, it’s pale pink in colour with a bouquet of pomegranate and red flowers; medium-bodied and dry, flavours of raspberry and citrus fruits fill the palate. A beautifully balanced and elegant rosé.
Dark ruby. Oak is predominant but the fruit is also very present with a light medicinal touch. Concentrated and very full bodied, the tannic backbone is strong and a bit rough, giving an overall impression of austerity. It just needs time to soften up.
