Untapped Potential: VR for Artists Presentation


In our rapidly changing world Virtual Reality (VR) is a new avenue for creative exploration. The use of technology as a tool for artists is a natural progression as we discover new ways to communicate and create. As advancements make VR more affordable, creatives have a whole new virtual world to explore with endless possibilities and applications for the future.

In this program we will share overviews of some of the VR programs available to artists including Tilt Brush by Google and Medium by Oculus as well as a demonstration on how these can be used in conjunction with 3D printing to bring your creations from virtual into actual reality. We are on the forefront of an exciting new frontier. In this presentation will share applications for artists and designers, what is currently happening and future potential for creators as access to technology becomes more accessible to the general public.
