I blame my pals for my pitiful state. If they hadn’t pushed her into the pool, I wouldn’t’ve felt obliged to pull her out. Was it my fault she chose to wear all white ? Didn't I give her my t-shirt?
And yet, this, too, was a mistake.
I claimed her as mine and it takes two solid weeks of negotiations, butting heads before we agree to scratch the itch between us.
I thought once we touched down in the end zone, we'd be done.
