“He became something he wasn’t and I became something I wasn’t. But there were good times, and I wanted to hold onto the good moments.” – Skyler Stonestreet

‘Everything It Wasn’t’ tells an interesting tale of a young woman who reflects on a problematic relationship that she once shared with her significant other. Apparently, their relationship didn’t blossom as planned, and now, instead of experiencing closure, she wants to leave the door open a tad bit. Later, she suggests that she and her significant other should pretend that their relationship isn’t over, and imagine that it’s everything that it wasn’t.

‘Everything It Wasn’t’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and sugar-sweet melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses lush instrumentation scented with a commercial pop aroma.
