This is just a great album of progressive metal. Harder than current day Dream Theater or Katatonia, Oceana is no less melodic. All of these songs are brimming with catchy lead lines, big choruses & complex songwriting. But two things really make "The Pattern" stand out. First, the guitar solos & tones are ridiculously impressive. Second, the sound Dan Swanö gives Oceana is nothing short of miraculous. He's such a legend & I'll always pick up something he has worked on just to hear his sound.
Favorite track: Atlantidea Suite Part 1.

Sonically majestic & is one of the very few progressive death metal albums I own, but when I see Dan Swano on the mixing & mastering, it's an instabuy!

The band’s return to the scene also sees a change of logo by the great Daniele Valeriani, an artist who has been able to perfectly represent the new image of the Roman trio.

Even better than the first album, Woe offers a wonderful music with interesting and varied approaches to extreme metal. When you spin the record, you are greeted with a lovely yet melancholic soundscape that quickly turns into technical and furious brutality. However, throughout the whole album, the musicians never lose the thread of atmospheric and progressive music, leaving enough room for contemplative or surprising parts - and proving that they haven't run out of creative ideas.

Gaia takes you by the hand, tells you that you're not alone in this, the pain is over, the misunderstanding of your pain is over and accompanied by keyboards, violins, acoustic guitars, cello and amazing vocals, she pulls you out of the disgusting mire of your mind and together you embark on a journey of melancholy, despondency, hope, pessimism and the seasons.
