Pay What You Decide Info

Join us for an online performance film recorded around secret corners of Stockton and surrounding areas to encounter moments of laughter, loss, kindness and new beginnings, shared by your neighbours – old and new.

Out of photographs, poetic lines, memories, objects and mementos from your neighbours’ lives, stories emerge honouring moments of transformation through past and current challenges.

In an open conversation after the film you will be able to ask questions to the contributors and share, if you wish, a similar experience and thoughts of your own during the online gathering.

Natasha Davis is a performance and visual artist with over forty solo and collaborative projects in a range of media including live performance, installation, film and publication. Her interdisciplinary, personal and politically engaged work focuses on crossing borders, body and memory. She collaborates with extraordinary artists, scientists, institutions and participants from all walks of life, creating work that is embedded in the belief that art can inspire change. She mixes autobiography, fantasy, research and technology to communicate a poetic truth that crossing borders is a balancing act between loss and liberation, as well as a potent space for opening a conversation about who we are, with a view to shaking up existing stories and initiating new ones.

Please note: If you haven’t joined us for a ‘Pay What You Decide’ event before, this means that tickets can be booked in advance as usual, but there is no obligation to pay until after you have watched. While we’re very grateful for general donations made to ARC at the time of booking, please be aware that only payments made as part of the Pay What You Decide process at the end of the performance can be counted as part of your Pay What You Decide payment. Details of how you can make your payment will be emailed to you after the show and will also be made available via our social media channels.

The performance will be broadcast via Zoom and access is via our dedicated online streaming service. Click here to log in with your usual ARC account details (if you’ve forgotten your log in details, the email address will be the one that normally receives emails from us, and your password can easily be reset from the log in page).
