This my channel all about the art of making trailers with video essays, tutorials, trailer reviews, and very very occasionally, fan trailers of my own. A good trailer is the best way to advertise a: film, video game, book, YouTube channel or just about anything. But there are virtually no resources online about this specialized form of editing, so I wanted to share my knowledge with you! I've loved trailers all my life, and since I was a kid I've always arrived early to the theater so I don't miss them. Professionally, I got my start as an assistant in the movie trailer industry, and since then I've cut trailers for video games big and small like Mortal Kombat X, Shadow of Mordor, Firewatch, Ooblets, Subnautica, Dead Cells, Spelunky 2, BattleBlock Theater, and a whole lot more. I'm going to teach you about trailer editing techniques, story structure, workflow, common mistakes, video game capture, video game debug tools for capture, career advice, and the movie and game trailer industry as a whole. I'll be making video essays to help you develop a critical eye towards trailers, share insight into trailers I made both professionally and as a fan, and I'll be reviewing some of my favorites. Whether you just like watching trailers or want to know how to make your own, you'll be sure to find something you like. So please subscribe and together we can learn all about the art of making trailers. Also, cats. I got my start in the movie trailer industry as an assistant editor at a house which produced trailers for: The Matrix Trilogy, Spider-Man, Pirates of the Caribbean and many more. Over many years I worked as an editor, and started making fan trailers for games until eventually I got jobs at game trailer houses in Los Angeles where I worked on games like Mortal Kombat X, Shadow of Mordor and lots of LEGO games. Independently I've made trailers for games like: Firewatch, Dead Cells, Subnautica, Ooblets and BattleBlock Theater. I'm using this channel to teach people about the art of making trailers via video essays, tutorials, reviews, and behind-the-scenes looks at my own work. I think about trailers a lot both for work and fun, so I have A LOT to say about them. I hope to shed light on this mostly unknown industry, and gather together a nice community of people who love to watch and make trailers! #fantrailers #trailerediting #trailereditor
