OREM, Utah – The Utah Valley University Department of Athletics has released its 2021 strategic plan following an extensive study and evaluation with student-athletes, coaches, administrators, alumni, donors, community members, and University leadership. The plan, which was unveiled to department staff earlier this week, was developed in conjunction with Collegiate Consulting and covers the vision, mission, values, and strategic priorities of UVU Athletics.
"I am thrilled to release our inaugural publicly vetted strategic plan for Utah Valley University Athletics. We are thankful to the various stakeholders who participated in the interview process to help us form the foundation for our future," said UVU Director of Athletics
Dr. Jared Sumsion. "A strong and sound game plan is instrumental to any department's success, and we feel like ours is truly top-notch. We would like to thank Collegiate Consulting, as well as everyone involved who helped bring this plan to fruition."
The strategic plan also covers six strategic priorities as well as in-depth goals to help achieve each item.

The document fully embraces the University's mission to include, engage and achieve, as well as shows numerous ways how UVU Athletics will provide exceptional care, exceptional accountability and exceptional results to its student-athletes, alumni, and the community.
