IIAC RESPONDS TO PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO NATIONAL INSTRUMENT 33-109 AND RELATED INSTRUMENTS: MODERNIZING REGISTRATION INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS, CLARIFYING OUTSIDE ACTIVITY REPORTING & UPDATING FILING DEADLINES (“THE PROPOSED REVISIONS”)
The IIAC submitted a response to the CSA’s request for comments related to Proposed Revisions in the area of registration information requirements which include establishing a new reporting framework for Outside Activities, extending the deadline to report changes in information, modifying or clarifying certain registration information requirements to adjust the burden of collection, and implementing a new rule to reduce multiple filings of the same information by corporate groups.
While the IIAC indicated its general support for the Proposed Revisions, the IIAC identified some issues and concerns regarding aspects of the Proposed Revisions and areas where additional clarification and guidance may be required.
