Presidential Search Advisory Committee selects candidates to participate in open forums, May 18-20

Florida State University’s Presidential Search Advisory Committee has voted to forward the following slate of candidates to the Board of Trustees as the search continues for the university’s 16th president. 

The committee will host a series of open candidate forums for faculty, staff, students and the community between May 18-20 at the Augustus B. Turnbull III Florida State Conference Center.  

Tuesday, May 18
Richard D. McCullough, Vice Provost for Research
Harvard University 

Wednesday, May 19
Robert A. Blouin, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Thursday, May 20
Giovanni Piedimonte, Vice President for Research
Tulane University 

The daily forum schedule follows: 

8 – 9 a.m. Staff 

10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Faculty 

1:15 – 2:15 p.m. Community and Direct Support Organizations 

3:45 – 4:45 p.m. Students 

In-person attendees will have the opportunity to ask candidates their questions at the event. Virtual attendees also will have an opportunity to ask pre-submitted questions at presidentialsearch@fsu.edu.
