Being mindful of this is the first step to taking time out to recharge so we can embrace and enjoy the rest of the term. Here are some simple steps to help create balance and harmony.
1 - Rest - take time out to catch up on sleep. Getting a good night's sleep has many benefits such as improving attention and concentration, helping to keep your immune system strong and reducing stress levels. These in turn will help you to feel stronger to cope with day to day challenges you may face.
2 - Recharge your mind
- open a book, do some baking or be creative! Embracing a hobby or learning a new skill are fantastic ways to recharge your mind as you will feel inspired, motivated and it will stimulate your brain. These will improve your positive wellbeing.
3 - Refresh your environment - decorate, declutter or tidy. Making small changes to your environment can positively change your mood. It can give you a fresh perspective. De cluttering and having a good tidy will also help you to feel more organised and less overwhelmed.
4 - Re energize your mind and heart - Make time for the people and things you love. Spending just a few hours with family or friends or doing something you love, whether it's going for a walk, watching a film or going out for a nice meal will help to boost endorphins and help you feel re-energized.
5 - Refuel your soul
- Eat healthy foods, count your blessings and express gratitude. Nourishing your body with healthy foods will help you feel more positive and boost your mood as well as providing many important health benefits to help keep disease and illness away.
