The Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation Board has awarded Tertiary Scholarships of $2000 in 2021 to Ella Tansell and Callum Guidera. The Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation Board congratulates the recipients and wishes them well with their studies. The EPCF established the Education Fund in 2016, and has received applications from all areas of the Eyre Peninsula.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide funding for Eyre Peninsula students moving away from home to study at a South Australian university for the first time after completion of year 12. The funds are to assist with the costs of books and other resources needed for establishment away from home.

Foundation Chair Garry Downey states, “The Foundation is proud to assist our Eyre Peninsula students aspire to higher education away from the Eyre Peninsula and in time return here to apply their learning and strengthen our regional communities.”

Ella Tansell is from Port Lincoln and attended St Joseph’s Port Lincoln, and is now studying a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) at University of Adelaide. Callum Guidera is from Cowell and also attended St Joseph’s Port Lincoln, and is now studying a Honours Degree of Bachelor of Psychology (Advanced) at University of Adelaide.
