‘Love Me Like You’re High’ is a sad song about choices, memories, romance/intimacy, and vulnerability. It tells an emotional tale about a young woman who shares a problematic relationship with her significant other. Apparently, she’s willing to do anything possible to make their relationship work. Unfortunately, she’s unsuccessful and experiences an excruciating break-up with the love of her life. Later, she painfully admits that she wants her ex to come back to heal her wounded heart.

‘Love Me Like You’re High’ contains a relationship-based narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. The sentimental tune possesses melodic instrumentation flavored with a contemporary emo-pop aroma. Furthermore, “Love Me Like You’re High” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear from Airyen Vay in the near future.

“This is based on a real story. I’ve written this song during a time when I was heartbroken over an old boyfriend. Then realizing that what I was missing the most was that part of him that was giving me validation. Sometimes as humans we feel insecure so we are looking for empowerment, especially from our partner, in order to feel good with ourselves even though that power is always within us.” – Airyen Vay explained

Airyen Vay wrote “Love Me Like You’re High” in 2018 with additional writing from LeeAnna Mc Column and Eric Zayne in 2020.
