Bookish, an independent book boutique opens in the KOP Mall!

Bookish opened its doors for the first time on June 16, 2021 with limited hours but will be open 7 days a week starting with their grand opening August 20-22, 2021. Bookish is a haven for readers, writers, and anyone who considers themselves “bookish.”

Scott & Becky Minor first opened a pop-up bookstore called The Book Den in the Court at the King of Prussia Mall between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve 2019. Their new store, called Bookish, plans to stick around! Bookish carries a broader inventory of books and is now located right next to Dick’s inside the mall entrance near Bonefish Grill. In addition to carrying new books, many signed by the authors, Bookish specializes in exclusive editions not available in any other stores as well as uniquely bookish gifts such as wall art, pins, candles, and hand-made greeting cards.

Here is a list of local authors scheduled to attend the grand opening:

• Carrie Anne Noble, YA author and winner of the Realm Award Book of the Year (2016) and Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Winning book (2014), The Mermaid’s Sister – Saturday 8/21 @ 12pm
• Dimitry Elias Leger, author of the novel God Loves Haiti, a finalist for Pen America’s Open Book award – Saturday 8/21 @ 2pm
• Rebecca P. Minor, bookstore owner and fantasy author of the Windrider Saga and the Risen Age Archive – Sunday 8/22 @ 12pm
• Pam Halter (author) & Kim Sponaugle (illustrator) of the award winning children’s picture book series Willoughby and Friends – Sunday 8/22 @ 3pm

Grand Opening Special! The first 100 customers who visit during the grand opening weekend August 20-22, 2021 will receive a free book while supplies last, a heroic fiction anthology the owners published in 2019. We hope to see you there!
