South Australian businesses that continue to be significantly impacted by ongoing COVID-19 density and trading restrictions may be eligible for additional financial support.

The Australian Government and Government of South Australia have announced a new $3000 cash grant program for businesses (and $1000 for sole traders) in eligible industry sectors — such as hospitality, creative venues and artists, tourism, gyms and transport.

Businesses based in the Adelaide CBD may be also eligible for an additional $1000, acknowledging the significant decrease in city foot traffic.

This new relief package targets businesses that have experienced a decline in turnover of 30 per cent or more over a two-week period as a result of trading restrictions imposed on 28 July, 2021.

Applications opened on Friday 13 August and will close at 11:59pm on 17 October 2021.
