Investing in future-ready agriculture, fisheries, forestry and emerging industries is the goal behind the 2022 Science and Innovation Awards.

The Science Awards is an open competitive grants program designed to attract innovative projects that will tackle key issues and challenges in agriculture sectors, and boost early-career development for researchers, scientists and other innovators.

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, in partnership with 12 of Australia’s leading research and development corporations, will award grants of $22,000 (inc GST) for projects in 12 industry categories available in the 2022 round.

If you’re 18–35-year-old and working or studying in agriculture, an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a project that will contribute to the ongoing success and sustainability of Australia’s diverse and resilient primary industries, then find out more at www.awe.gov.au/scienceawards.

Applications close 5pm AEST Friday 1 October 2021.
