Financial incentives and support are available to help you grow your business with skilled people.

In partnership with the Australian Government, the Department for Innovation and Skills has introduced a range of initiatives that can help maximise the benefits of employing skilled people and developing local talent.

From recruitment assistance to on-the-job training, apprenticeship pathways and support to retain your new apprentice, the Department have made it even easier to grow your business. Subsidised training, low-fee courses, and additional funding for tailored business growth initiatives are all available under the historic investment in skills and training.

Through the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements wage subsidy up to 50 per cent of wages can be paid to a new or recommencing apprentice or trainee for a 12-month period from the date of commencement, to a maximum of $7,000 per quarter. This has been extended for new apprentices and trainees signed up before 31 March 2022.
