Roxen is a talented singer-songwriter from Cluj, Romania. Not too long ago, they released an appealing audiovisual for her “Amnesia” single, which is the official Romanian entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2021. After the cancellation of the Eurovision song contest in 2020, the artist-to-watch is once again set to represent Romania. The competition will take place on May 18-22, in Rotterdam.

‘Amnesia’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who lost herself trying to have it all. Apparently, she gave all of herself and forgot about herself.
Furthermore, “Amnesia” is an ode to the young generation who are trying to cope with the challenges that life presents. The self-love tune was inspired by Roxen’s inner fights and personal struggles. Also, “Amnesia” finds Roxen teaming up once again with Viky Red, the same producer she worked with on last year’s Eurovision entry, entitled, “Alcohol You,” alongside Ira on songwriting duties.
The Bogdan Păun-directed music video uses contemporary dance artists to highlight Roxen’s inner turmoils.

With a dreamy vibe and a cosmic look, Roxen thinks that music is a sort of therapy for her, but also for her fans. Her songs possess the magical power of healing and bringing harmony. Also, her music is universal, just like love.
Roxen has been singing ever since she was seven-years-old. She realized music was her life and savior after winning several musical contests. In her childhood, she was fascinated by writing and publishing books, singing at her school festivals, and acting.
