Maxé and Lara Samira revamps Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” single

Maxé (Maurizio Accetta) is an Italian-German DJ, producer, songwriter, and singer. Lara Samira is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Berlin, Germany. Not too long ago, they released a lyric video for their “Wicked Game” single, a dancefloor-friendly reinterpretation of Chris Isaak’s classic love tune bearing the same title.

Maxé and Lara Samira – “Wicked Game” lyric video

“The world was on fire and no one could save me but you. It’s strange what desire will make foolish people do. I never dreamed that I’d meet somebody like you. And I never dreamed that I’d lose somebody like you. No, I don’t wanna fall in love. No, I don’t wanna fall in love with you. What a wicked game you play, to make me feel this way. What a wicked thing to do, to let me dream of you.” – lyrics

Instantly recognizable from its opening chords, “Wicked Game” contains a relationship-based narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Chris Isaak. The dancefloor-friendly tune possesses up-tempo instrumentation flavored with an electro-dance vibration. Furthermore, “Wicked Game” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear from Maxé and Lara Samira in the near future. The duo has combined for releases this year on Soave. Both of which demoed the pair’s feelings for the reinterpretation of well-known pop and R&B music.

Lara Samira reads like a beloved poem. Good friends call her Lara and her parents gave her the second name Samira, sounding like a gentle breeze. The young artist feels she has entered a new chapter in her career and is rewriting her poem into a bolder story with more attitude. She describes her music as “imperfectly perfect” like perfect cracks on an imperfect ceiling. She’s mysterious with enchanting vocals and honest lyrics with an edge. Through music, Lara wants to inspire, motivate, and shine bright for the people who haven’t figured out how to do it on their own.
