What can I expect to do in this role?
You will:
• provide secretarial and clerical support services for the Program, Health Care and Maintenance departments
• organize, maintain and ensure confidentiality of electronic and manual records/data
• create and maintain files
• open and distribute mail
• arrange meetings
• maintain and update directives and manuals
• perform secretarial/word processing services for the program area
• provide reception services
• provide general clerical services
How do I qualify?
Specialized Knowledge
You have:
• knowledge of relevant legislation, e.g. the Mental Health Act and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
• knowledge of medical terminology to accurately prepare clinical records.
Administrative Knowledge and Skills
You can:
• provide secretarial and clerical support services
• check a variety of documents and reports to ensure accuracy
Oral and Written Communication Skills
• You can liaise with the Deputy Superintendent and staff and prepare a variety of documents
• You have good grammatical and spelling skills
Office Equipment Knowledge
You have knowledge of:
• the operation of computer equipment and software to prepare correspondence, reports and minutes
• office equipment such as fax and photocopier machines
