IN HONOUR OF BENOÎT LAUZÉ
Schulich School of Business Scholarship of Excellence
Benoît Lauzé was a much-admired member of the investment community and a respected member of the IIAC Board of Directors.
Benoît passed away in April 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer, but he will always be remembered for his enthusiasm and passion and as a great friend, leader, collaborator and strong client advocate with whom many clients enjoyed deep and longstanding relationships.
To honour Benoît Lauzé’s memory, CIBC and the Schulich School of Business, along with Benoît’s classmate and friend Michael Bigger (MBA ’92), are establishing a special scholarship in Benoît’s name. This scholarship will reflect the values most closely associated with Benoît – positivity and respect, as well as his drive to support people around him. The Benoît Lauzé Scholarship of Excellence aims to benefit and support an incoming student in the future Master of Health Industry Administration degree, expected to launch at the Schulich School of Business in September 2023. Applicants must have a track record of achievement and a strong interest in the medical field. Recipients must also demonstrate academic excellence from previous studies, be a supportive team player, and enjoy lifelong learning.
Together with friends, former CIBC Colleagues and Schulich alumni, we invite you to join us in building this legacy to honour Benoît Lauzé. To make your contribution and help us achieve our campaign target of $250,000, please fill this form and return it to York University.
We thank you for helping us to honour Benoît Lauzé’s memory in this very special, profound way.
