We are truly honoured to be featured in this article by Parkinson's Life, discussing the invaluable role of technology in improving the quality of life for people with Parkinson's.
Back in 2014, Lucy worked on a project designed to help people with Parkinson’s through tech – when she was suddenly diagnosed with a benign brain tumour. Inspired by her own experience, Lucy founded Charco with her team, with a commitment to creating tangible solutions for Parkinson's management.
At the heart of Charco's innovation lies the #CUE1 device, a wearable technology designed to alleviate Parkinson's symptoms through vibrotactile stimulation. From freezing of gait to stiffness, the CUE1 brings relief and support, bringing back smiles to individuals like Elaine Payne, who shares her feedback in the article, emphasising the importance of individualised approaches in Parkinson's care. Dr. Alistair Mackett speaks about the device's efficacy and safety, as well as its potential as a complementary tool in Parkinson's treatment.
As Charco continues its journey, the focus remains on enhancing support for the Parkinson's community. Through ongoing research and a patient-centric approach, Charco aims to unlock new possibilities and improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s.

Charco is featured in an article by Nation World News, explaining the development of the CUE1, its current use, clinical trials, and how user feedback shapes innovations at Charco.
Please read the full article here: nationworldnews.com/wearable-improves-motor-symptoms-of-parkinsons-disease/
The CUE1 is a wearable device designed to improve the quality of life for those with Parkinson's. Inspired by Lucy's personal experience and observations, the non-invasive device delivers vibration stimulation to manage symptoms, drawing from 19th-century neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot's findings.
Clinical trials have demonstrated positive outcomes, including improved walking and enhanced fine motor functions. With user feedback, today, Charco hopes for regulatory approval to make the CUE1 accessible for prescriptio#parkinsonss#healthtecho#innovatione#CHARCOo#wearabledevice##NationWorldNewsNationWorldNews

“CUE1 beats, CUE1 you can touch it, talk to it, place hope in it that your next years of life will not be so terrible, that it will allow you to walk among the trees once more, that it will allow you to see the sunshine on the path one more day on one's own feet.
This is what CUE1 represents for Cándido; that is why when he said goodbye to me yesterday at the door of his house he cried, of hope, of gratitude, with immense and deep gratitude to your team, i.e. Charco Neurotech, who have reestablished "HARMONY" for a few months or years almost lost.” - Francis
Fracis’ full letter: charconeurotech.com/blog/2024/02/26/a-letter-from-francis/
Cándido, Francis’ teacher from his young age, received the CUE1, which has transformed his life. We couldn't be happier to hear that Cándido is now able to go for walks, engage in conversations with his family, and feel much more balanced, preventing any further falls.
Thank you, Francis, for your touching letter. Hearing this amazing story means the world to us and reinforces the significance of our mission: bringing back smiles to people with Parkinson's.

Dear Charco Community Members,
As we prepare for Season 2, we want to share our latest updates.
The CUE1 is the first medical device incorporating both focused vibrotactile stimulation and cueing that Charco has been developing and constantly improving over time.
Over the years, we've collected real-world data and thoroughly analyzed it to enhance the device's performance.
These efforts have resulted in the development of the enhanced CUE1, which will be introduced as the CUE1+ in the first half of 2024 with Season 2.
Moving forward into Season 2, our commitment is to provide you with better support, ensuring you have the knowledge to best use your device.
Please keep an eye out for further updates on Season 2 via email and our social media channels.
Thank you for reading, as always please contact us if you have any questions or if we can support you in any way.
