Being a witness for Christ isn't always easy.

It can be intimidating, nerve-wracking, and even frustrating when we don't see the changes we're looking or hoping for. Sometimes, we just don't know what to say or do. Witness: Equipped to Share the Good News is a self-guided course designed to equip you for sharing Christ's love with your neighbors. Developed by Amy Schenkel, a Resonate Regional Mission Leader, Witness includes videos, a small group discussion guide, and a personal journal that will help you reflect on what it means to be a witness for Christ—and then to take practical steps to join God at work in your neighborhood.

Five Sessions

WITNESS consists of five sessions that reflect on what it means to be a gospel witness.

Prepare

The first component in being a gospel witness is receiving this good news for ourselves. It’s preparing to receive this news so that we can share this news with others.

be present

Forming strong relationships with your neighbors doesn’t happen naturally, it takes intentionality. It takes making time for our neighbors. It means being intentionally present in our neighborhoods.

proclaim

Where do we see what God is doing in our Neighbor’s life? When, prayerfully, is there an opportunity to proclaim that good news to them? When can we help reveal to them, where God is at work in their life?

participate

Inviting others to participate in the family of God takes small baby steps over a long period of time as they learn who Jesus is and what Jesus is doing in their life.

Power

We can put in a lot of effort, but we have to wait, depend, and believe that the Spirit is at work. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, God is changing hearts and lives and communities.
