Ankit Jain, our co-founder was recently a panelist on the ‘Clean Air Collective Annual Convening 2021’ around potential solutions for solving the air pollution menace in Delhi-NCR and adjoining States. The panel, organized by Asar was attended by a wide range of stakeholders including representatives from a parliamentary group for clean air, State governments, civil society, think tanks, field organizations and a progressive farmer. As part of the panel, Ankit spoke about GDi's experience of designing and supporting the implementation of the Delhi Government's citizen engagement campaign, ‘Yudh, Pradushan ke Virudh’, and deep-dived into the challenges associated with running such large scale campaigns that invite a great deal of public attention. He also touched upon the impending challenges in 2022 for regional airshed management and highlighted the importance of creating regional plans rather than State-specific plans.
