A leap forward for farmer-first governance in Jammu & Kashmir - Holistic Agriculture Development Programme. As we celebrate the second anniversary of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), we stand at the crossroads of transformative change. Together with the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, we are writing a story of empowerment, innovation, and sustainability that will resonate across generations. At the heart of this transformation is technology enabling access and good governance, designed to unlock new possibilities for farmers and elevate rural communities. On this milestone occasion, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of J&K, Jenab Omar Abdullah — alongside the Hon’ble Agriculture Minister and Chief Secretary — led a high-level review of HADP’s progress and officially launched a suite of groundbreaking digital tools that are ready to reshape the agricultural landscape. 🌾 DPR Generator: A first-of-its-kind tool that empowers farmers — especially those with limited financial literacy — to independently generate Detailed Project Reports for credit access. 🌱 Credit Scheme Advisor: This personalized advisor navigates 400+ agricultural activities and helps farmers discover the credit schemes most relevant to their needs, bridging the gap between policy and practice. 📲 Output Tracking (OT) Application: Real-time monitoring of 126 agricultural activities — giving stakeholders direct visibility into field-level outputs and enabling data-driven decision-making. 📊 HADP 360 Dashboard: A unified data platform integrating all aspects of HADP’s interventions — from schemes to skilling, from extension services to output tracking. This system empowers dynamic governance. 📰 HADP Insights: A monthly newsletter that goes beyond numbers, sharing the impact, stories, and progress that bring HADP to life, on ground. 📘 Kisan Sampark Abhiyan IEC Material: An accessible, farmer-friendly guide to the newly launched IFAD-funded JKCIP initiative. Designed to simplify information and amplify impact. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Government of Jammu & Kashmir — especially the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Hon’ble Agriculture Minister, and Chief Secretary — for their visionary leadership. We are committed to drive sustainable growth in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir through our thought partnership with teh UT government. Together, we are building a future where no farmer is left behind. #Agriculture #HADP #Impact #NationBuilding

As an important component of our partnership with the Government Of Punjab to improve air quality through reduction in paddy straw burning, GDi Partners recently co-organised a convening on Biochar for Crop Residue Management and Climate Resilience in Punjab. In partnership with Carbon Removal India Alliance (CRIA), and with the support of the Punjab Development Commission (PDC), Open Philanthropy, and the The Nand & Jeet Khemka Foundation, the event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from across the ecosystem — spanning government, research institutions, civil society, philanthropy institutes, CSR houses and the private sector — to explore the transformative potential of biochar in addressing Punjab’s stubble burning challenge. Discussions around policy, research, financing, and implementation surfaced several key themes: ⭐ Policy support from government is critical to build and sustain the biochar ecosystem. ⭐ Research and pilot projects are essential to assess the impact and viability of biochar applications. ⭐ Multi-stakeholder collaboration involving government, biochar developers, and research institutes is key to successful adoption. ⭐ Access to finance is necessary to support production, deployment, and uptake at scale. The convening also served as a catalyst for building connections and aligning efforts creating a shared platform for continued dialogue and collective action toward scaling biochar solutions in Punjab. We extend our sincere thanks to all participants for their thoughtful contributions and deep engagement. We look forward to building on this momentum guided by purpose, partnerships, and shared commitment. As GDi Partners continues to grow, we’re learning that scaling a company is not just about bigger goals, but creating the right alignment with team members. Last month, we brought our leadership team together for GDi’s first-ever Leadership Offsite. Two focused days to step back from the day-to-day, reflect on how we work, and align on where we’re headed next. We had honest conversations about what leadership really looks like in this next phase: ➡️ Getting clear on our priorities as an impact-driven organisation ➡️ Creating space for faster, better decision-making ➡️ Building systems that empower teams, not slow them down ➡️ Making sure we scale without losing the values that define us It was a rare and valuable pause. A chance to connect not just as colleagues, but as a team united by a shared mission and a deep sense of accountability. We came out of it energized, aligned, and ready to take on what’s next. Together. Because building something meaningful doesn’t happen overnight. It happens #BrickByBrick. #Leadership #GDiCulture #FutureReady #NationBuilding

Our CEO and Co-Founder, Ankur Bansal recently participated in an important session on Leveraging Non-Conventional Data Sources for Official Statistics, organized by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI). The session brought together more than 150 delegates from central ministries, UN agencies, think tanks, independent organizations, universities, and research institutions, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. Ankur highlighted how different countries are integrating alternative data sources into their statistical frameworks, how India’s ecosystem compares, and what a potential roadmap for India could look like. He also brought attention to the objectives, challenges, and potential way forward for using non-traditional data sources, illustrating how National Statistical Offices (NSOs) across the world are leveraging such datasets effectively. A key takeaway? While adopting non-conventional data sources may seem daunting, breaking the process into small, achievable milestones makes it much more feasible. As Ankur pointed out, "India can experiment with alternative data in phases—urban India and rural India. If we look at data from digital transactions, we see that numbers start to scale for urban areas, making alternative data more feasible." Discussions like these are crucial for driving innovation in official statistics—ultimately strengthening data-driven decision-making for nation-building.
