Awww🥺🥺🥺 What a beautiful freakin love story about the beautiful manager and handsome rock star together, falling for each other before and after the hero is famous🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️ It's my first time reading from this author! I love it! This book really is worth to read and I have my fun time reading this❤️❤️🥺🙏🙏
IT'S A AGE GAP between the two. The hero is twenty one years old when he first meet the heroine, the heroine herself is 37 years old. I should write it because it takes forever for the heroine to admit her age to the hero😄
The heroine is working in the music industry like a record company. One day her boss told her to check a band in some town... She goes there in the club where they perform and she completely blown away of the talents that the band have. They are so talented, great people and good ones. They do not use drugs or do bad things like that. She is also was captivated by the hero when she heard him speak for the first time in the microphone and when he was singing his original songs. She know in that moment the hero and his band mates are talented and need the support from her label. She goes there to speak to them about working with her label. They didn't start right away.... At first they have to wait for the heroine's news about the label that she supposed to talk to about the band, then afterwards the heroine have to go back in forth for weeks to the band's practice because her boss wants her to record everything and report to him daily about the band. So we get to see the process about the band from where they are and in the future. Idk but for me that was fun to read. After weeks of the heroine working on the band, the hero made the first move to the heroine by kissing her and they have their hot time together when they're alone but not s3x though. And that's where the romance start....
You do not to worry.
IT'S A SAFE LOVE STORY.
Since the heroine and hero meet, even before they finally have s3x, both are very loyal to each other. Even when the heroine tries to push the hero away, he never did go away or do bad things. He always chase her and never go to anyone else. So their relationship start with a rough one because they have to keep it a secret for months, not too long...
THE STORY is well written and the characters are very good.
Such a great story.

THE guy is actually likes the hero (don't know for how long) the guy thinks the hero will fall for him and one day feel the same way. The hero never see this coming because he is not gay like him and the also the guy never say much about it. He always keep his distant and always mean to everyone, even the hero. So of course the hero never saw this coming or even his band mates😂 The guy always say bad things to the heroine every chance he get when he see her, not all the time though so it's not too annoying but sometimes. What I don't like about drama like this is because sometimes the guy can physically hurt the heroine if he wants to and that can be rough too. Because there's a scene where the heroine was helping this guy, the guy runs towards her so fast she falls in the ground and her knee was bleeding and hurt. The guy saw the whole thing but never helped her but only scream hate towards her. Gladly the hero and other of his band mates comes to them and helped the heroine🥺 Other drama is about themselves and the hero's parents. But not too much and not too annoying drama....

4 Star review of The Rocker (Love Is Blind #5) by Harlow Layne
Having read a number of books by Harlow Layne, I was excited to dive into The Rocker, book five in the Love is Blind series. This was an entertaining read that ticked a number of boxes for me which is a little surprising as age gap romance is not really a trope I usually enjoy.
From the moment they met there was an instant connection between Walker and Pen but she is older and his band’s manager, so it can go no further than one night. Pen is determined to put the band on the map and will not risk her career or the bands’ for a one night fling, no matter how much she wants to.
The Rocker is a story that will draw you in and quickly have you hooked. I really fell for Walker, there was something about him that drew me to him. The chemistry and attraction between Walker and Pen sizzled and although their journey was rocky, it was well worth it..
A few familiar faces make an appearance which added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I’m not normally into reverse age cap romances but Harlow Layne is one of my favourite authors so I was intrigued to see how she would spin Walker and Pen’s journey and honestly this story was everything I have come to expect from this very talented author.
The connect between this couple was instant but would they be able to overcome not only the age cap but also the fact Pen ends up as the bands manager. Pen is out to make a name for herself in the music world and after presenting so many new bands to the label she works for she is hopping this us the band to turn everyone’s life’s around. Walker us the lead singer and from the moment they met sparks fly so will this romance survive the test of time and the music industry……..
I was captivated from the first few pages and there was no putting down until the final word had been read. The characters are easy to relate to and chemistry is scorching hot and once you add in a few familiar faces you get a great read.

A insta connection with heart and a whole lotta steam in this book. He's dark, passionate, and younger but he just might be the best thing to shake up a woman's world, because he's not just any Rocker he's "The Rocker!"
This book has the reverse age gap and Penelope is a woman on a mission to make a name not for just herself in the music world but for this band she finds herself watching. What looked to be a unpromising night turns out to be one of the most epic meetings for both her and a lead singer named Walker.
You get the angsty vibes but these two are way to hot to wait and even knowing they are risking their future dreams on a one night of passion to get it out of their systems, they give in and find its not so easy to move on after what they experience that night.
You get to follow along their journey of finally finding the right person but understand the worst circumstances to trudge forward to a HEA.
If you like the instant love and a sweet guy that can not only back up his dirty talking game you will definitely love Pen and Walker's whirl wind love affair. Yes they sneak around but things will happen and you see these two form a bond that is unbreakable. You will see a few familiar faces from past books pop in here also. I love that this author always gives you heart with all the steamy goodness to bring the best HEA's.
I highly recommend this book if you want a older woman younger guy vibe with a ton of chemistry that will have you needing to hydrate after a few scenes. It's definitely a fun easy read with a lot of great characters and chemistry.

I probably have said this a few times but this is my favorite Harlow Layne book to date!! I've always been a sucker for rockstar romances and this one was that plus so much more. It was fun, exciting, action packed and so dang hot that I thought it was going to set my kindle on fire.

Such a good rocker romance with reverse age gap as well. Pen is older; much older than other stories I’ve read but Walker seemed so much older than this age as well. Even when some of the reactions and conversations were age appropriate, he still has a mature air about him which was perfect for Pen. The group itself was fun, exciting, and I loved every minute of it. I only wished we would have been given information as to what happened with Greer and the new bandmate. I am hoping that will come later.

Now she's determined to get them signed and to lead them to the fame she can just picture them obtaining. Should she give into the heat between her and Walker, though, chancing both their futures?
Walker's young, much younger than Pen, but he's decisive and mature, and he knows what *who* he wants, and that's Pen AND for his band to make it big. He can and will have them both. If they can navigate everything with enough finesse that her boss doesn't find out. They can have it all...if someone else doesn't blow it for them...
I am the first to admit I'm not a big fan of age gap romances, especially of the older woman/younger man type. Women tend to be much more mature than men their own age, let alone men much younger, so these types of stories tend to be angsty and annoying to me. But Harlow handled the age gap well and didn't let it overwhelm the story, just give it a tiny bit of the forbidden aspect, enough to give some edge. The story is sexy, a bit angsty, and fun. I still have some questions about certain people but I'm hoping those questions will be answered in future stories.

Pen was supposed to just be checking out a new possible band to sign, but she didn’t expect to be blown away by Crimson Heat or the instant attraction she felt towards to bands lead singer, Walker. Walker may be young, but he is mature and knows what he wants in his life.
I love the instant connection between Pen and Walker. Even though they tried to fight it for so long the deep connection they share can’t be ignored. There is a forbidden aspect to their relationship since she is the band manager and on tour with the band. While they have undeniable and explosive chemistry things aren’t always for the two of them, but I couldn’t get enough of their relationship.
I love Pen and her group of friends, it was so fun getting more of this amazing group that you’ve gotten to know throughout this series. I also loved the rest of Crimson Heat and I hope that there is more of them in the future!
If you’re looking for a reverse age gap, forbidden, forced proximity, rockstar romance this is one to check out.

Love happens when you least expect it and for Pen and Walker not only is there an age difference, but she is also the one who gets his band - Crimson Heat - on the map. But love knows no bounds and although it is a taboo relationship it blossoms. But will Pen throw away her position with the record label in order to keep Walker? Or will the two break each other's hearts as put the record deal head of their hearts? With a connection that can be felt with each turn of the page and honest feelings worked between the lyrics this was a great read. I now need to go back and read the rest of the series.

Harlow does it again with The Rocker. It's filled with angsty vibes and many emotions. You can't help but fall for Walker, he has a dark emotional past but his so sweet. Penelope is this strong willed female that knows what she wants but is scared due to her position.

Book 5 in the Love is Blind series and it was a great addition. A reverse age rock star romance that will leave you smiling when you finish. Loved Penelope and Walker. Their chemistry was off the charts hot. One night is all that is wanted between them but one night is not enough. Walker needs more but Penelope wants to keep it business. Is that able to be possible or will the attraction that is between them too much to fight. Loved this read and if you are looking for a hot rocker to keep you warm, highly recommend this book.

I can never get enough of reading rockstar romances which is why I was immediately drawn to this story the moment I read the blurb. Add in a forbidden romance involving an older woman who's managing the band, and the younger male lead singer, and you end up with an entertaining story full of sexual tension and angst.
Penelope is a woman working in a predominantly male world, becoming manager to an up and coming band named Crimson Heat. The moment she sees the band she knows they're destined for stardom, but it's the lead singer who most captures her attention in an instant connection that crackles. Things don't go smoothly for the two of them though as she's worried about her career, scared of other's judgements, which had them hiding the truth of their connection from their friends, the band, and the media while on tour. Pen's a tough and self-assured woman when it comes to her job, but when it comes to the personal part of her she's not as confident which added a heavy layer of angst to the story. While her fears, and the push and pull between them, has been seen before I still found her concerns relatable and was rooting for her to embrace the HEA that her sexy young rockstar's more than obviously offering her. Together they're a formidable pair with a sizzling connection that can't be denied!
When it comes to rockstars, Walker's a delicious addition to the slew of sexy rockers I've read about throughout the years. He may be young in years but he's wise when it comes to knowing what he wants. And what he wants is a relationship, a future, with Pen. After a scorching first encounter he knows that once isn't enough and sets out to claim the woman desperately trying to fight their more than obvious connection. Walker's had a difficult past but he's risen above it to be a sweet and caring soul. He oozes tons of sexiness though too and is a master at dirty talk that made his interludes with Pen even more decadently delightful. On a whole he's the quintessential rockstar and I swooned over him with each turn of the page.

What a really good reverse age gap rockstar romance. It totally made a change for a young rockstar to fall head over heels for an older successful beautiful woman. People were totally skeptical, me included that this would indeed turn out to be forever. But as the story progressed you just knew that Walker would love Penelope regardless of what anyone said.
This is an insta love story, full of heat and steam. Full of chemistry that neither Walker nor Pen can deny or stop, even if they wanted to. Apart from all of that this book shows the rise of a rock band, through trials and tribulations. It's not all plain sailing and one of the characters' situations is sad. But he gets nasty about it and all heart I had for him left me angry. But I'll say no more on that.
This was a great read, that I really enjoyed and would totally recommend.

An enjoyable 4 star read.
This is the fifth book in the series but the first that I have read; it’s a standalone story so I don’t feel as if I missed anything by not having read the others.
This is a rockstar novel with a difference, these guys are young and undiscovered when Pen is sent on a scouting trip to check them out in their small hometown. The attraction she feels for the lead singer Walker, is instant and overwhelming but she cannot go there if she’s to keep her job and promote this band to her label.
Written from a dual POV, we know Walker’s attraction to her is also instant and he is determined to make her his despite the significant age gap.
The story is well written and easy to read as it charts both Walker and Pen’s blossoming relationship and the band’s rise in fame.
Angst is provided by the Greer incident, and while it was a little obvious, it did throw a nice twist in to amp up the tension and interest levels and stop this becoming a straight-line plot from falling in love to getting their HEA.
It’s sexy, the steam levels between these two burn up the pages. It’s an enjoyable read with an everything turns out for the best kind of ending. It is a solid 4 star read.

I have been looking forward to this book for a while now and it did not disappoint. I feel like through this whole series I was teased with these two so the anticipation of what their book was going to be was at a all time high.
I love a good reverse age gap, one where the younger man falls to is feet to love the older woman and would do anything to be in her life. Walker and Pen are such a great couple, they have this insta-love and everyone around them can see it. There are some twists and turns that these two have to go through and there will be one thing you don't see coming and you will be shocked. I know that I was. The author does such a great job with interconnecting everything and it is so nice to see glimpses of the other characters from the other books in this series.
Harlow Layne has done it again with this book. If you like reverse age gap and rocker lifestyle book then this is the book for you. You will love both the main characters so much and hopefully you fall in love with them like I did.
I love a good reverse age gap, one where the younger man falls to is feet to love the older woman and would do anything to be in her life. Walker and Pen are such a great couple, they have this insta-love and everyone around them can see it. There are some twists and turns that these two have to go through and there will be one thing you don't see coming and you will be shocked. I know that I was. The author does such a great job with interconnecting everything and it is so nice to see glimpses of the other characters from the other books in this series.

I have to start by saying that Harlow Layne is genuinely one of my all time favorite authors . I know with certainty that every time I sit down and open up one of her books it is going to be a fantastic story with the most wonderful characters . Characters that will not only grab onto all your emotions but will tug at your heartstrings in every way possible and pull you so completely into their journey . The Rocker is the perfect example of why I love Harlow so much .Pen and Walkers love story will have you feeling so many different emotions it’s angsty , emotional, action packed , steamy , intriguing , swoony and so much more. it has the perfect amount of darkness and it happens to have a few of my all time favorite tropes - rockstar, forbidden and age gap . Im not going to give any details away as i am someone who loves to go into a book with a open mind . And this is a story you really need to read for yourself to appreciate how amazing it is

What a really good reverse age gap rockstar romance. It totally made a change for a young rockstar to fall head over heels for an older successful beautiful woman. People were total sceptical, me included that this would indeed turn out to be forever. But as the story progressed you just knew that Walker would love Penelope regardless what anyone said.
This is an insta love story, full of heat and steam. Full of chemistry that neither Walker or Pen can deny or stop, even if they wanted to. Apart from all of that this book shows the rise of a rock band, through the trials and tribulations. It's not all plain sailing and one of the characters situation is sad. But he gets nasty about it and all heart I had for him left me angry. But I'll say no more on that.
This was a great read, that I really enjoyed and would totally recommend.

Rockstar, age gap, romance yes please and I say this when age gap isn’t my number one go to choice but this one got me. Pen is a manager for a band, she works hard, takes her job very seriously her attraction to Walker is instantaneously yet with their age difference and her job this is a no go for her. If she was to ever act on her feelings it could end badly for her and not just in heartbreak but in losing her career. Walker is mature for his age and once he knows what he wants it seems as if nothing will stop hi at getting it, yet he wants Pen but doesn’t want to be the reason her life is upended. They go back and forth fighting attraction to sneaking around but can this actually turn into more or is this just a more time thing? I really enjoyed this read and the connection between characters.

This is the fifth book in this incredible series and is Walker and Penelope’s journey. Pen is on a mission to make a name for herself in the music industry and watching an up-and-coming band, she meets the lead singer Walker, who knows what he wants out of life. Pen is now the band’s manager and goes on tour with the band, but there is an instant connection between them, which has Pen insisting that she and Walker can only have one night, so that their careers are not in jeopardy. Can these two abide by staying away from each other? This is a well written story with a younger man / older woman, undeniable chemistry, passion, angst, secrets, intrigue, friendships, and love, which leads to a fun, entertaining, and steamy all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

A young rocky, the older manager an age gap romance with a difference. I loved how although Pen is the manager and Walker the Rocker this couple blend so well together that you don't even think there is an age difference, I am a sucker for this genre and I don't think we get enough of them and Harlow Layne produced such a great engrossing storyline to go with this couples complicated romance that it was a pleasure to watch unfold.
The minute that Pen saw Crimson Heat playing in a bar she knew they had something special, and she would do everything in her power to ensure that they got their shot at stardom even if it meant trying to distance herself from the lead hot singer Walker, but Walker was having none of that, and so the cat and mouse chase begins. A great story of ups and downs and when sometimes doing the right thing isn't always right.

An each gap romance story with an older woman and younger man. Pen has worked hard to make it in the music industry, when she spots a new band Crimson Heat she knows they will be the next big thing. After becoming their manager she becomes close to the lead singer Walker, he is really hot and the connection between the two is just electric. Despite trying to deny it Pen and Walker take things further, even though her career is in jeopardy she can’t help the feelings she has for Walker. However when Pen’s boss finds out, her career is in tatters, leaving Walker questioning if it was worth the risk. A really enjoyable book, with lots of hot, steamy passion. This was my first time reading a book by this author and I can’t wait to read more.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Pen was working for Titan Records when her boss, Christiano, told her to go check Crimson Heat. She was sure it was another dead end as all the other groups he sent her.To her surprise she found herself listening all night to the best group she had heard so far. She extended and invitation that she was going to talk to her boss to sign them. Walker was so taken after the guys told him about her, that they negotiated her being their manager. To the records surprise they did extremely well on tour that they continued internationally. During that time Walker continued pursuing Pen. She was hesitant but eventually they could not help their chemistry. The only problem was her boss and his band mate Greer. At the end, it was an amazing journey for all. Enjoy this amazing group and read.

I really enjoyed this book! The Rocker is an age gap, rockstar romance. There was such instant connection between Pen and Walker.
The Rocker was sweet, yet steamy with such a powerful connection between the two main characters. Pen is confident and strong in what she wants not only in life but also in a relationship. Walker, to me wasn’t your typical rockstar. He was sweet and caring and following his and his friends dream of going big with their music career. These two you could tell cared so much about each other. I love the goofiness of the band mates and I loved seeing Pens friends!
This book was definitely a feel good book. I love that Harlow intertwines her characters from her other books into the current book. I definitely recommend this book for others to read!

This is one of the books that is in the category of Harlow Layne books I like the best. These characters are the latest in the first series that I reviewed. It was interesting to reflect that I had read hints of this couple for quite some time. I liked the instant connection between the couple, the heroine’s conflict over what their relationship could do to her job as well as her feelings about the age gap, and the chemistry between the characters. Shoe writes in the male and email perspective and both are well-rounded characters and many of others secondary characters have had stories of their own. This happily ever after put a smile on my face. I am voluntarily posting this review after reading an advanced complementary, copy of the book
