If you love small town , friends to lovers, second chance, single mum romance look no further than Fighting Chance because this is one very special read that with touch you on so many levels. This is a beautifully written love story with wonderful characters and I’m sure like me Ethan and Savannah’s journey will stay with you long after the final word has been read. Fighting Chance is book one in the new Second Chance Harbor Series and if this book is anything to go by, Ms Coll will certainly have another hit series on her hands. Savannah hasn’t had an easy life but she wouldn’t change it for the world because the hard times gave her Miles, the son she adores but when the building she lives in is sold her life is going to get real interesting because her new landlord is a guy she tutored in high school. Ethan is back in town to start a new business and to look after his mother and younger sister and he is shocked to see his tenant is the girl he crushed on in high school only to have her dismiss him when he plucked up courage to ask her out all those years ago. Could this be a second chance or will Savannah dismiss him once again….. This book has all the feels, i swooned, I sighed, I smiled and I got angry but I fell hard and fast for Ethan, I adored Savannah but it was the relationship Ethan built with six year old Miles that took this book to another level. I can’t wait to see where we are taken next with Zoe and Max’s story.

5 Star Review of Fighting Chance (Second Chance Harbor #1) by Lea Coll I love stories set in small towns, with second chances, friends to lovers and single parent elements so this book was perfect, as it has it all. From the first chapter I was hooked and quickly became invested in the story that Ms. Coll wove. We met Savannah in a previous book and I was excited to see what was in store for her and her adorable little boy Miles. Lea Coll has a way of writing that resonates with the reader. I loved these characters, the journey they travelled was heart warming and the relationship that Ethan forged with Miles and the obvious love he had for not only Savannah but for Miles melted my heart and brought me to tears. Life hasn’t always been easy for Ethan and Savannah but through their strength and determination they have overcome to become the amazing people they are. The love they have, not only for one another, but their families really added an additional layer to the story. If this first book is anything to go by, then Ms. Coll has a winning series on her hands. This book ticked all the boxes for me and I cannot wait to read more in the series.

A Beautiful friends to lover’s single mom romance. Ethan has had a crush on Savannah since high school. No girl after her has compared to her. Now he is her landlord and has grown up. His feelings for her have not gone away but he is trying to get his business off the ground while also trying to help support his younger sister and his single mom. Since his sister’s father is not in the picture, Ethan has taken it upon himself to take on that role. Savannah is trying to take over her mom’s store and raising Miles all on her own. She is not sure getting involved with Ethan is a good idea. But not only does Ethan have an attraction to Savannah, he is starting to develop a bond with Miles. Miles takes an instant liking to Ethan. It is such a beautiful relationship, similar to what a father and son have. Ethan knows if he gets involved with Savannah, Miles is a part of that relationship. What has scared off other guys she has dated has the opposite effect on Ethan. He looks forward to the times he spends with Miles. The chessboard project the two of them begin is such a touching project. The patience Ethan shows Miles and the care he shows him is beautiful to watch. Ethan knows Miles’ limitations because of his age but he never makes him feel like a child. He explains to Miles the dangers of certain tools and equipment in a way that Miles understands and makes him feel he is still part of the project. I think Ethan falls in love with Miles even before he falls in love with Savannah. The three of them make the perfect family. Fighting Chance is a story of love, responsibility, family, and never giving up. Nothing in life worth having is ever easy. The road may be hard, but the result is worth all the grit.
