Looking for a job? We can help you with getting the right skills, perfecting your CV and guaranteed interviews with employers.

ATTFE works with a range of local employers including Amazon, McDonald’s, and Portland College.

We deliver a range of sector-based work academy programmes for a variety of job roles including care, warehousing, hospitality, and education.

Our Sector-based Work Academies give you the opportunity to learn new skills and get experience of working in a particular industry, support with the application process and a guaranteed interview.

Each programme lasts up to two weeks, and consists of three parts:

  • Pre-employment training – we will take you through what is involved with the role you are applying for and skills relating to that role
  • Simulated work experience and support with the application process
  • At the end of the program, a guaranteed interview with the employer

Participants will continue to receive benefits whilst taking part in the programme, and if you need to travel to the employer’s place of work or to where the training is held, you may be able to receive help covering the cost of public transport or appropriate childcare.

The programme is designed to help improve job prospects, help employers fill jobs, as it is linked to one or more genuine job vacancy. While you are not guaranteed to get a job from completing the programme, it does help you to improve your chances of gaining employment in that sector.

Sector Based Academy with Amazon – 2021

ATTFE College Sector Based Academy Programmes – Amazon

“Throughout August to October 2021 the ATTFE and Workforce Staffing Team at Amazon collaborated with the aim of encouraging unemployed individuals who were looking for work, to gain employment within a warehouse environment. Ashfield District Council worked alongside the academy to gather eligible applicants for the job centre project and the course was then organised by the ‘Employability Manager Linda Hill’ and ‘Tutor Louise Randall’. Throughout the duration of the project each of the candidates participating in the programme were well supported and guided through the programme, employability sessions were delivered and the correct materials to prepare them for an interview and potential job with Amazon. Each of the candidates received 1 to 1 support from the moment they joined to the course, to the point of employment. Although the programme started within a short timeframe this year, with our last intake on the programme we managed to secure employment for 12 candidates within a 2 weeks period. Overall the job centre programme has been successful and all of the candidates hired through this route are still in employment with Amazon. I would like to thank all the teams involved for all their hard work and dedication with the project. It is personally so fulfilling to see individuals actively looking for employment to now have secured jobs. I look forward to working with you all on the project within the new year.”
