Insomniac Duet #2

A Love So Bright

Rate this book
One word can hold tremendous power. One word can change everything.

I never imagined it would come to this. That I would fall for Micah Reed.
That I would open my heart once more. And get it crushed. Again.

The moment I let him in, the second our relationship evolved, fate threw an epic curve ball.
One we can’t ignore. One I don’t know I can endure.
But call me a glutton for punishment.

One word stole my breath. One word had my knees ready to buckle.

I refuse to believe anything without proof. Refuse to let someone ruin my life.
Call me a d-bag, I don’t care. Deep down, I know the truth.
Now, if only Peyton would believe it, too.

My relationship with Peyton is headed in the right direction. Her fire is no longer fueled by hate.
Now, I know the taste of her lips. The softness of her skin. The warmth of her touch.
And no one will steal her from me. No one.

I fell for Micah Reed.
I fell for Peyton Alexander.

Was it all for nothing?
Will she abandon me when I need her most?

This was nothing short of beautiful. Micah and Peyton have easily been moved into my favorite couples list by this author.
Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left us... with that jaw dropping cliffhanger.

Starlight and Hellcat show us just how much someone can fall when they open their heart to what's right in front of them. The good, the perfect, the worthy.
The road wasn't easy, but you can only fight fate for so long. When you fall, the outcome is oh so sweet, the colors of everyday life are brighter, emotions are live wires and it was a pleasure to have a front row seat with these two.
I think Peyton is my favorite leading lady after reading this!

If you're looking for a story that will grip your emotions and make you yearn for hope and redemption - check this duet out.

This was a beautiful conclusion to Micah and Peyton's story. This story was filled with so much heart and emotion. You could not help but, being drawn to these characters, they made it very easy to do so. Peyton and Micah story was not smooth or easy and a bit rocky at times but, it's hard to fight fate and these two were fated to be with one another.

Loved the chemistry this couple had, they sizzled together and loved the fact that Micah took things slow and easy and was doing things differently with Peyton trying to prove she was something more than the sea of women of his past.

Overall, a touching story that we loved. After the cliffhanger we had at the ending of part 1, we had doubts that this couple would be able to overcome the past but, we were rooting for them and for them to find what both were looking for. The characters were fantastic and fun and engaging. I will say Peyton surprise me the most, and we loved seeing the tigress come out to play. With characters like Micah, we love when the players fall hard and fast, being on their adventure is always so much fun.

I'm always worried when left on a cliff, as a reader should be, because it can all go horribly wrong. But alas Peyton and Micah's story was everything I hoped it would be and then some. The woman in the red dress played her role perfectly. Reese was the best, best friend a girl could ask for. We get to meet more of the past and see signs of possible futures including Shelly's. I'd love to see Shelly get a happy ending.
Okay that's it I don't want to give anything away, it's so good. ☺️

What a great ending to Micah and Peyton’s story. We pick up where the cliffhanger left off and just wow. No spoilers, but it’s a realistic event that can happen to anyone and make everyone involved question. Such a unique journey. There are several road blocks they need to get through before they can finally get to their HEA. I loved the character’s banter throughout and their little flirtatious moments. Even after everything they went through, the two ended up being there for one another, and that was just the best. This was a cute and fun story to read. Can’t wait for the next one!

Peyton and Micah's story picks right up where the cliffie left us, and the pace does not stop until the last page. There are, of course, many obstacles in the way of their happiness, but they travel the road, meet the obstacles with everything they have. I loved the way both of them, especially Micah, grew and became what was obvious each of them had the potential to become. Their relationship took me on a rollercoaster of a journey of emotions with all the highs and lows love brings to you. This is a wonderful duet and I loved seeing this couple get their happy ever after!

A Love So Bright picks right up from the explosive cliffhanger in Restless Night.
An indication of sorts to get ready and be prepared for the adventure that the finale to Peyton and Micah’s Insomniac Duet series would take you on.

Boy oh boy from the very beginning, up until the very end Peyton and Micah’s story was filled with so many feels from many emotions seeping through every page. Even more so when it came to Spicy time.
Persephone Autumn did not hold back, allowing Peyton and Micah to have their hungry lustful desires do the talking when it came to their moments of amorous passion. Ultimately giving us countless Red-Hot, Sexy Fire given the steam they released.

Yet the narrative wasn’t without it hard-hitting moments from the raining of angsty-ness and emotional turmoil that also bled through the pages. Especially given what Peyton and Micah were having to deal with from the hurdle blockage that impacted their newly formed relationship.
Ultimately leading both having to face some ups and down in the continuation of the journey they travelled together.

Given that the majority of the narrative Persephone heavily focused on emotions and feelings, of which Peyton and Micah were dealing with.
It allowed us to see not only their relationship play out, given the steps of growth they were needing to take in order to make head way with continuing on laying down a stable foundation for their relationship.
Simultaneously it let us delve into their characters more, understanding them on a deeper level from being able to feel what exactly they were going through. Assisted from the help of having their dual perspective, showing us their mindset in regards to what they were thinking too.
Especially given Peyton and Micah were on complete opposite ends with the situation they have having to deal with. Which just so happened to be putting a stop to them moving forward, from the impact with the uncertainty on top of not knowing what it meant for their future.

Unfortunately there was an issue that had me not so keen, this being the other main part to the narrative seeming to be non-existent.
Other then being mentioned a few times near the beginning, it seemed like it had been forgotten about for a majority of the storyline having passed before it was brought back again. Only to end so abruptly.
It just would’ve been nice if that part of the story had played out a little more, bringing the drama since overall it seemed to lack in that department. Something that surprised me given the cliffhanger from Restless Night, which had me thinking there would be a lot more.

Overall, A Love So Bright was a good story with a great ending to Peyton and Micah’s Insomniac Duet series. Delivering the perfect HEA that was deserving of the two, considering the bumpy journey of their relationship.
Once again Persephone Autumn delivered another good duet within Bay Area Duet series.

Micah and Peyton's heartaching romance comes to a stunning conclusion in A Love So Bright by Persephone Autumn. It was full of swoony and heartfelt feels and nuclear hot passion. It's Micah's turn to grovel and Peyton finally tamed the playboy!

Peyton and Micah were just at beginning of a shaky relationship but a blast from the past reminds Peyton about his old ways. And she blocked her heart again. Micha is absolutely miserable. Heartbroken. He wants Peyton more than anything but he has to prove himself.

Well Peyton, well done. Persephone Autumn spent this whole book making Micah prove just how much he loves Peyton and I like an alpha playboy grovelling so much. And the Author made me feel so hard for him. He has realised his mistakes. He realised that going through women isn't a way to mend his broken heart. And Peyton makes him believe in love again. She is such a sweet and strong character. She didn't let her guard down even when her heart wanted nothing but letting Micah in. She is in dilemma and rightly so. But Micah wooed her so well and she could see that their distance is killing him slowly. She was not unaffected by it either. This time they did it in the right way. The great friendship. Getting to know each other. Building trust. The chemistry is never the issue because they have this exquisite tension that can be cut with a diamond knife. It would be so easy to let the filthy passion take over. But they have the real thing and it was a well earned happily ever after.

4.25 Stars!! 💜

After reaching the end of Restless Night, i couldn't wait for this second book! I started counting down the days until i could dive back into the Insomniac Duet! I picked it up as soon as i could and Bay Area Duet Series! I so enjoyed this second installment!

Peyton and Micah's journey continues! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen next with these two and that had me even more glued to their story.

I was pulled right back in by these characters so quickly. I was so glad to jump back into their minds and get more of them. I really liked getting to see how these two would tackle things. Once again, I felt so many emotions with both of them from beginning to end!

Peyton was a character i so related to! I really enjoyed the realness shown throughout both books by both her and Micah. Their chemistry was so great! Their journey wasn't easy and that made me fall for it as well as these characters even more.

With A Love So Bright, Ms.Autumn has created such a good read and continuation that made me feel so dang much! She brought such emotion! Her writing pulls me in every single time. I can't wait to dive back into the Bay Area Duet Series with the Artist Duet! Definitely check this series out, if you haven't already! 💜

I had been waiting for this book for what felt like forever! That cliffhanger at the end of the first book in the duet caught me so off guard and had me yelling for more, and I couldn’t get it out of my mind. This book was everything I was hoping for!

The angst and the intensity between Micah and Peyton just about wrecked me! My heart was in my throat waiting for the fallout from the wreckage that slammed into them and started to unravel their carefully made relationship. They are my favorite couple by this author so far, and I felt like I was invested in their relationship! As they slowly start to rebuild, the sexual tension builds between them to an explosive level. The spice between these two is hottt! 🥵🥵🥵

I absolutely loved every part of this book. Watching him fight for her and her fighting herself & him, to both fighting for each other and rebuilding themselves, had me page turning and unable to put the book down. I recommend this to everyone who loves love & second chances. Who loves flawed characters that go after what they want, and don’t settle for anything less. If you haven’t started this duet series, you really need to!!

I have loved this series and this conclusion to Peyton and Micah’s story was pure beauty. After the way their first book ended we knew that it would be a massive journey for Peyton and Micah to find their way to each other once again and although Peyton was very resistant to Micah’s charms and advances she finally gave him a second chance. A second chance that was ultimately life altering for them both as their relationship progressed into so much more. Ms Autumn once again gives us a stunning story of love and redemption but most importantly trust. Wonderful characters who have given us hours of enjoyment through their books and who have found their way into my heart. Highly recommend this series as each book gets better and grows with the characters.

Thank goodness that Persephone Autumn put me back together again with this conclusion to the duet. I was a broken mess after the cliffhanger in book one!

Micah and Peyton’s journey was a very bumpy ride with so many emotions. Peyton is such a strong woman who knows what she wants and is so sweet too. She made Micah definitely put the work in. Their chemistry is off the charts! I’m so happy they were able to overcome so much to have their HEA.

A Love So Bright picks right up from the explosive cliffhanger in Restless Night.

I have been waiting for this book for what felt like forever! That cliffhanger at the end of the first book in the duet caught me so off guard it had me craving more.

The angst and the intensity between Micah and Peyton was killing me. I needed to find out what was going to happen after the cliffhanger.  To say I was invested in their relationship was an understatement!

I loved how they slowly started to rebuild their relationship, the sexual tension that builds between them was off the charts.

I absolutely loved every part of this book. Watching Micah fight for Peyton and Peyton fighting for both of them, kept the pages turning. I recommend this to everyone who loves love & second chances and flawed characters that go after what they want.

I fell in love with Micah and Peyton in Restless Night, and after this book, I love them even more!!!

A Love so Bright is book 2 in the Insomniac duet. You have to read Restless Night first.

We pick up right where we left off, at that cliffhanger from book 1, and it's an emotion and angst filled, beautiful story all the way to the end!!

These 2 have to get past so much and work through so much if they want to be happy and have their happy ending.

I love Micah and Peytons banter, you will be laughing at some of these lines.

I love how they are always there for each other, no matter what was coming their way.

I cant say enough good things about this duet. You guys need to read this!!!

“You’re building a ladder,” I interrupt and tilt my head. “Lucky for you, I’m into construction.” 😏

This one picks up precisely where book one (Restless Night) ended on its cliffhanger

At the end of Restless Night a possible life-changing event puts a halt on things between Micah and Peyton before they can really start

This situation brings new tension and trouble and we get to see how they cope with it all

I loved reading the conclusion to this duet as we get to see how the characters deal with mistakes from the past and how they can effect their future together

Its a slow-burn with lots of sexual tension before we get to some explosive smut 🥵🔥 which is definitely worth the wait

Fantastic duet which I highly recommend

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I love Peyton and Micah's story. It is so real and raw and something that could happen in real life. Humans make mistakes and take awhile to make decisions and figure out exactly what they want. And seeing these two be so raw with each other and get to know each other was just great.

This was my first duet by this author, but I'm definitely going to be keeping my eye out for more because I really enjoyed this story! Very glad I got the chance to get an introduction to this author :)

This was a great ending to Micah and Peyton’s story. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed these two. We pick up where the cliffhanger left off and it was all the craziness we needed from there! Micah and Payton knew how they truly felt for each other but can they express it fully? Can everyone around them let them be happy? Is it truly in the cards? This was a emotional journey with several road blocks that these two needed to get though. I truly enjoyed the characters banter and the depth of their story. I loved how they were truly each other’s cheerleaders, even after everything they have been through. This was a fast paced enjoyable story and I can’t wait to read more books by this author.

TITLE: A Love So Bright
GENRE: New Adult Romance
AUTHOR: Persephone Autumn
TROPE: Enemies to Lovers
TYPE: Series (Insomniac Duet #2, Bay Area Series #6)
POV: Multiple POV
MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5

In part two of the Insomniac Duet, Peyton and Micah's story picks up at the cliffhanger from Restless Night. Different challenges are thrown at this couple before they even have a chance to become anything official. A Love So Bright is a story of love, forgiveness and overcoming challenges. I also enjoyed the different relationships with the sub-characters, like Peyton's surrogate grandmother. It felt like a bit of a slow burn, but life can be messy, and if the foundations are there, there is a chance for love to flourish. What remains to be seen is will this be a friendship, true love or maybe both?

Book 2 was an amazing conclusion to the Insomniac Duet. I loved Micah and Peyton. Peyton retracts from Micah when he receives news he most definitely wasn't expecting. Micah shuts down with the news he receives and the loss of Peyton. He wants Peyton more than anything. Peyton needs to figure out what she wants and ultimately what would happen if the news isn't what either of them wants.
This book had me crying at points and laughing at others. I love this book so much.

Cliffhanger? ❌️

Do I recommend? ✅️

Tropes: Enemies to lovers, second chance, bully romance

This book picks up right where that heart-stopping cliffhanger left us in the first book. The author created two very real characters that I easily related to with a realistic plot to follow. My emotions were put through the ringer but their story left me with a genuine smile on my face. Definitely worth my time. I'm looking forward to more from this series. This was a beautiful conclusion to Micah and Peyton’s whirlwind love story. Right from the very first sentence I was on pins and needles, crossing all my fingers and toes, hoping that these two would have their happy ever after. I was in suspense the whole way through. There was a lot these two needed to work through in order for them to make things work. Peyton needed to pull some walls down and let Micah in even though he may have made some bad mistakes, the guy was willing to be everything Peyton needed in her life.

I loved their banter, their passion and the love they had for one another. These two had me swooning and head over heels in love with them as a couple. This was the perfect ending to their story (even though I could have continued to read more about them).

Definitely an emotional rollercoaster ride of a story that will leave you satisfied in the end.

Not sure why this got such high ratings. Lame story and I didn’t think there was any chemistry between the 2 MC’s.

Let’s start with the H being a self-proclaimed manwhore. He goes home with a different woman every night and the h bears witness to all of it. What a catch!

Anyway
h was bullied in HS. The burb makes it seem like the H was her bully but that wasn’t the case. She had 3 principle female bullies who made her daily life miserable. The H got dragged into the mess one day and called her a slut. Because he was so popular, people somehow believed the slut moniker and her life became more miserable? Mind you she kept crushing on him after the incidence.

FF 15 years, both MC’s are working a the same bar. The h keeps giving the H the stink eye and he doesn’t understand why. The h was goth in HS and is now a blonde bombshell.
They do the I hate you/I don’t understand why dance for a while till his sister clues him in on who the h is.
He’s shocked and apologizes
h forgives him instantly. No groveling. If all she wanted was an apology why didn’t she just confront him?
Just as they’re starting to get close and she’s ready to take the relationship to the next level, one of his fuck buddies shows up claiming she’s pregnant with his kid.
He denies denies denies
Then we get this weird monologue on how careful he is, how he goes through a ritual of inspecting and reinspecting every condom. Umm maybe you should have kept it in your pants?
So he does a dna test, not his kid, they celebrate.
We then get some minor angst when she’s promoted to manager within a year of being a bar while it had taken him longer to make manager.
H’s ex shows up wanting him back. h confronts her, punches the witch and claims her man.
The H proposes. She says yes. HEA. The end.

This is the sixth book in this amazing series and the conclusion of Micah and Peyton’s journey. This story continues straight on from the whammy of a cliffhanger ending in the previous book. These two do not have an easy journey by any means, and there are curveballs in their path to be navigated. This is a well written story with second chances, emotions, fun, passion, lust, turmoil, tension, redemption, humor, witty banter, and love with an in-depth storyline, which leads to an all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Sometimes, things are just meant to be, and this reader wanted it to be Peyton and Micah. These two were so obviously meant for each other.

The road had so many twists and turns, but it made the journey oh so worthy!

These characters warmed their way into my heart and I had fingers and toes crossed for an HEA!

I met Ms. Autumn with this duet, and I plan on reading many more of her stories!

Highly recommend!

After that cliffhanger the previous book left us, I definitely needed the continuation of Micah and Peyton’s story. And it was so worth it! Their journey continues with even more twists and turns. Whew, what a ride it was! All the feels these two gave me! The angst, the tension and the anticipation were killing me. I definitely loved watching Micah fight for Peyton. She really made him work for it and I loved it. I definitely enjoyed their story so much.
