FINRA SEEKS TO EXTEND TEMPORARY AMENDMENTS RELATED TO COVID-19
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) a proposed rule changes to extend the expiration date of the temporary amendments introduced by FINRA at the onset of COVID-19. Included in the temporary amendments were provisions permitting remote inspection of broker-dealers. The provisions are set to expire on March 31, 2022 and FINRA is seeking an extension to July 31, 2022.
