We recently teamed up with University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust to develop a series of videos that explain the preparation for prostate radiotherapy. We hope the information will help to support patients and provide them with reassurance about the steps needed as part of this treatment. It has been a very busy week for events and engagement opportunities! Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of joining Emily from Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust and David from Talking Therapies Portsmouth, at their Celebration Event, held at the Spinnaker Tower. The event was showcasing the experience based co-design project they have been leading, on Improving Psychological Support Services for people with Cancer. It was also an opportunity to share the input from people with lived experience of cancer and how their ideas are now being put into actions to take forward. A great morning, a lovely venue and a positive move for improvement 😊 #ExperienceBasedCoDesign #ImprovingCancerServices

Yesterday, we were delighted to hear from so many people with lived experience of cancer, sharing their thoughts, ideas and personal journey's to help us better understand where improvements need to be made in our cancer services. Thank you all who joined us and the local charities who came to support our event. Special thanks to our facilitators and the Cancer Services Partnership.

As Bowel Cancer Awareness month comes to a close, we wanted to share this message from Sarah. 😊 Sarah is a bowel cancer survivor, getting the all clear just over 10 years ago. After an intense period of surgery, treatment and recovery - Sarah says cancer no longer rules her life. She wanted to reassure others who may be at the start of their journey, or worried about what happens after a diagnosis, that it can end well and there is life after cancer. #BowelCancerAwarenessMonth #WessexBowelCancerCampaign NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board NHS Dorset Bowel Cancer UK

Why is it important to catch #bowelcancer early? Jake explains all here in this video 👇 Please do not delay speaking to your GP if you have noticed a change in your body, or something that is not normal for you. Get it checked out because 9 times out of 10, it won't be cancer but if it is - then catching it early is key to a more successful outcome. #WessexBowelCancerCampaign #BowelCancerAwarenessMonth #GetChecked
