Bringing gospel renewal to people and places

We’re looking for an all-rounder communications creative, activator, hands-on, make-it-happen person to take ownership of ensuring our communication mechanism hums (a new mechanism is currently being developed). This position is an opportunity to share your skills and industry experience within an overtly faith-based role—we want you to bring your following of Jesus to work!

The Baptist Union of New Zealand is the 250 member churches and faith communities comprising of the 40,000 people who identify as ‘Baptist’ in Aotearoa. This ‘tribe’ within the global church exists to bring gospel renewal to people and places in local neighbourhoods, and does this through faith communities that are marked out by growing disciples, effective mission, robust leadership, healthy resources and authentic worship. The Baptist Union has a National Centre in Penrose, Auckland, where this role is situated.

Your primary purpose in this role will be to work alongside the Communications Director to manage, sustain, and have creative input into our national communications and media strategy, to bring clarity, alignment and excellence to our messaging and brand positioning: you will make it happen!
