Skin like a baby’s? Global Stem Cells Group reveals skin-regenerating solution from umbilical cord stem cells
06 Apr 2022 --- Global Stem Cells Group (GSCG) has unveiled a product formulated using its lyophilized exosome technology.
The new solution, Cellgenic Lyophilized Exosomes, is derived from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells and includes potent growth factors, peptides, coenzymes, minerals, amino acids, vitamins and UV radiation reducing agents for skin revitalization.
Specifically, the growth factors are said to help combat aging skin, environmental damage and loss of elasticity and tone.
“Our goal at Global Stem Cells Group is to develop the most effective regenerative products on the market,” says Benito Novas, CEO of Global Stem Cells Group.
“Our new product line of lyophilized exosomes is a testament to our commitment to developing cutting edge products with great clinical utility.”
Cellgenic Lyophilized Exosomes has been clinically tested for its effectiveness, GSCG maintains. This skincare solution is marketed as easy to use and does not require any special shipping or storage requirements, as it can be shipped anywhere in the world without refrigeration.
Deemed “a first for exosome preparation,” the product can be used as an add-on treatment with any other GSCG cosmetic products.
The exosome technology involves the freeze-drying of extracellular vesicles (EVs). These EVs are isolated from mesenchymal stem cell cultures that have been expanded in the laboratory.
The lyophilized exosomes are reconstituted with saline in front of the patient just before use.
Through research, it has been shown that these vesicles contain RNA, proteins and metabolites which promote wound healing, angiogenesis, tissue regeneration and anti-inflammatory effects when applied topically to the skin.
Cellgenic Lyophilized Exosome is and will revolutionize the way that skin care professionals do business.
Regenerative skincare
With skin health beginning at the cellular level, industry continues to advance in its R&D efforts toward better understanding this correlation. Stem cells are evidently a viable source of innovation within this space.
ClearStem Skincare launched BounceBack Repair Serum, a serum targeting cancer-related scars and post-care needs. The stem cell and triple-peptide concentrate serum help smooth and flatten scars and wrinkles while reducing the overall appearance and color.
Darya Hope is another skincare brand that has experimented with human stem cells to tackle visual signs of aging. The company’s latest launch, Youth Elixir Stem Cell Serum, features Cell Turnover Technology Complex – a proprietary technology using stem cell-derived growth factors to target areas that need repair.
Researchers have also delved into the beauty boosting potential of plant stem cells. In this area, Givaudan Active Beauty unveiled an extract of plant stem cells designed to address dry scalps and dandruff, a year into its partnership with South Korean plant cell culture company, BIO-FD&C.
