Chloe Lilac is a rising singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. Not too long ago, she released an appealing lyric video for her gritty pop-punk banger, entitled, “how does your girlfriend feel about it.”

Chloe Lilac – “how does your girlfriend feel about it”

“Call me up at 1 am, half-asleep in bed to say goodnight for the third time. You get inside my brain when we’re drunk on the train, the way you stare into my eyes. Oh my god, spent all those nights with you, thought I would die for you, yeah. Oh my god, blurred all the lines for you, and I wonder, baby. How does your girlfriend feel about it? You’re in my bed while she’s at college.” – lyrics

‘how does your girlfriend feel about it’ tells an intriguing tale about a young woman who finds out that the guy she is romantically involved with is a no-good cancerous cheater. She tries calling his phone but he won’t answer her calls. Apparently, he has a girlfriend, who is unaware that he has been sharing himself with someone else. With a heavy heart, the woman vows if she ever sees him again, she will tell him, “Bet you told her about our plans and told her I’m a man ‘cause don’t you drunk text your homies. I bet you’re telling her that you don’t even know me like that’s the old me and that you’re willing to change.”

‘how does your girlfriend feel about it’ contains a relatable narrative, biting vocal runs, and soaring earworm melodies. The likable tune possesses crunching guitar-driven instrumentation bursting with pop-punk and alternative rock elements. Furthermore, “how does your girlfriend feel about it”  is the latest arrival from Chloe Lilac’s forthcoming new mixtape, due for release on April 29, 2022. The project follows her 2021 mixtape, when I feel better, an exposé defining Chloe’s growth over the past year. Also, the mixtape will feature other standout singles including 10 things, 19, and sick.
