“I got vibes like a bass line, I control what’s on my mind. All my blessings fall in line, anything I want is right on time. My cup’s full, I overflow, I give love ‘cause I want to. One by one, they come through just to feel the presence of a mogul. ‘Look how Arewa shines.’ ‘Look how Arewa’s fine.’ They never felt an aura like mine. He wanna get close, I decline. They see me when I’m miles away, just like that I make their day. There ain’t much I have to say, they gon’ find out anyway.” – lyrics

‘Rich Girl’ tells an intriguing tale about a young woman by the name of Olubunmi. Apparently, she has the juice and sees herself as a rich girl with an original vision. Later, she admits, “I don’t do this for fun, I am a chosen one. Abundance on the run, I’m twinning with the sun.”

‘Rich Girl’ contains an introspective narrative, relatable lyrics, and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of SZA and Jhené Aiko. The likable tune possesses rhythmic drum-laden instrumentation flavored with afrobeats, modern dancehall, and Afro-R&B elements. Furthermore, “Rich Girl” follows mildly on the heels of Arewa’s previously released single, entitled, “Clocks,” with P Saint.

“I am good news, I’m them times two.”

“‘Rich Girl’ is a song about positive self-acknowledgment. I am acknowledging that I am rich in many things, therefore, I am a rich girl. The idea of being rich is not tied to wealth alone, but also to abundance, blessings, love, light, and essentially anything positive. I am releasing the song with a music video as well. The video is centered around the theme of manifestation and abundance. The video begins with a meditation scene, followed by the visions I am having while I am meditating. Those visions are essentially my manifestations.” – Arewa explained

Arewa goes about her days gaining new experiences. Her narratives come from a place of confusion, pain, joy, enlightenment, love, and peace.
